00:00And now we go live to our special envoy, Yunus Oner, in Caracas to bring us the latest from
00:05the new special anti-blocking law from a working class announced by the president and presidential
00:10candidate from the Great Patriotic Polo, Nicolás Maduro.
00:13Vice Maduro promised to construct three million houses and also the National Assembly approves
00:20a law to facilitate non-OLEC exports.
00:24Hi, Yunus, welcome.
00:27Tell us more about it.
00:28Hello, good afternoon from here, Ana.
00:32This has been really an important meeting that the president and the candidate has held
00:36today in the Estadio Monumental SimĂłn BolĂvar here in Caracas, a baseball stadium that was
00:43filled with thousands of workers.
00:46And he proposed here to introduce a new special anti-blockade law for the working class.
00:55And that includes first and utmost the construction of 3 million new houses for the working class
01:02in addition to the approximately 5 million that have been built in the recent years.
01:09So this would be a serious construction effort to provide the working class with cheap and
01:15accurate housing, updated housing.
01:18But he made also further promises, proposals.
01:22One of them was to create a new digital bank for the working class, for workers, to replace
01:29the existing bank.
01:31And why is that a useful purpose, proposal?
01:35Because he said this way the working class, if it wants to start a kind of small company
01:42or so, it can get easier credit.
01:44And also a third point he mentioned was to establish a new digital family health system.
01:51He said that the PDVSA company, the oil company, state-owned oil company, has been working
01:57effectively with that system already.
02:00And he announced that if this law is approved, this system would be widened to cover the
02:06entire working class of Venezuela.
02:09Speaking of laws, the National Assembly today approved a law that has been in the legislative
02:15process.
02:16This is the law to promote non-oil exports.
02:20Essentially, it will make it easier for Venezuelan producers to export their products easier
02:27with less bureaucracy in a faster procedure.
02:30Now, as I said, this concerns the non-oil sectors.
02:34So we know that, for instance, the manufacturing industry, as well as the agriculture, the
02:40fishing industry, maritime products are producing more and more.
02:44So they are keen to export their products.
02:47And this law makes it easier for the companies and for the producers to export their products,
02:53as well as for others who would like to import from Venezuela, easier to access the Venezuelan
03:00production market.
03:02And this comes in the context of the seven T, the seven transformations.
03:07One of them is, to remember our viewers, to diversify the exportation sector of Venezuela,
03:13to make it less dependent on oil only, and to promote the export of other products, such
03:20as, as I mentioned, manufacturing or agriculture, where recent reports show that there's a surge
03:26in agricultural production and there might be soon a surplus that Venezuela might want
03:32to export to other neighboring countries or countries farther away.
03:36And we know that, for instance, products such as cacao and coffee, the Venezuelan cacao
03:40and coffee, are well wanted elsewhere.
03:44And as a, usually, Turkey correspondent of TELESUR, I can confirm that the Venezuelan
03:51coffee meets a high demand in Turkey as well.
03:56Thank you very much, Yunus, for your remarks.
