Paris mayor swims in Seine river to highlight Olympic-ready cleanliness

Fulfilling a long-standing promise, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo took a swim in the Seine River to demonstrate its improved cleanliness, making it suitable for the upcoming open-water swimming events in the 2024 Olympics. Paris 2024 chief Tony Estanguet also joined her. This event is part of a broader initiative to showcase the river's restoration ahead of the Summer Games, which will commence on July 26.
