00:18I'm a congresswoman representing the great state of South Carolina.

00:29At the age of 17, I learned that dropping out of high school might not have been the

00:41So I took my first job at a fine dining establishment some of you may know as the Waffle House.

00:55Denny's was a little too high brow.

00:59While Waffle House was an important part of my journey, it would not be my destination.

01:08I soon went from making waffles to making history.

01:14Twenty-five years ago, this high school dropout became the first woman to graduate from the

01:22Citadel, the military college of South Carolina.

01:31A college campus where we don't burn American flags, we salute them.

01:46I'm a single mom and a rape survivor.

01:51To women tonight who can relate, please know you have a friend and a sister in me.

02:00And I will fight like hell for you!

02:09I'm the daughter of an Army Brigadier General and a school teacher.

02:15I've admired my dad's Distinguished Service Cross from Vietnam.

02:20I've endured the rigors of a Citadel education.

02:24And today, I represent a district that includes Parris Island, where we make Marines!

02:37What we're witnessing today is proof that strength preserves peace and weakness invites

02:45war.

02:47We can never project strength around the world when weakness stands in the White House.

03:00Nations like China see weakness as opportunity.

03:05China's fentanyl invades our borders.

03:08Their arms supply Putin's regime.

03:12China supports enemy states like Iran.

03:15They oppress their own people, especially their women.

03:22The world is watching America, and we must show them what we're made of.

03:35And I know a strong leader when I see one.

03:38Donald Trump stood up to China before, and he will do it again.

03:51Anyone who thinks they can take on Donald Trump or take down America is now on notice.

04:01Justice Trump quickly rose to his feet with a defiant fist in the air in Butler Township,

04:10When we re-elect him as President in November, America will soon be back on hers.

04:21We will be resilient.

04:23We will be united.
