00:00Mom, Frankie Bell, will you come show your boots?
00:09We have the pink, and we have the black.
00:13Thank you.
00:20Hi, Vogue. We are the women at Chrome Hearts. Come with us to see our objects of affection.
00:31We are at the factory of Chrome Hearts in the middle of Hollywood.
00:35It dubs as a workspace, a…
00:37Art studio, photography, dance. I rehearse here.
00:40I think we're just kind of in a big artistic zone for everybody.
00:45It's just a family affair.
00:47I would say I have a knack for curating a very home environment.
00:50The stapler, the rat trap, the tape dispenser, like everything's pretty chromed out.
00:55We physically built everything.
00:57So it went from a tiny little studio to a big factory.
01:07This is a time when I went to Bel Desari's private studio where he was doing his 2019 series.
01:13I had dreamed my whole life of having a Bel Desari from the 70s.
01:17Finally, when I got it, I wanted to meet him and go to his studio.
01:20He told me he would take a photo if I picked my nose because he's known for the nose.
01:24So I said, sure. And that is this photo, almost picking my nose.
01:28It was a really interesting afternoon.
01:31We spent the whole time at his studio, just him and I photographing, and he died not shortly after.
01:36So it was very meaningful to me.
01:38Our time together, which was brief, and the fact that I do own one of his pieces.
01:47My next object of affection is European porcelain from around the world.
01:53My grandmother used to serve me tea.
01:56So I decided that was something of my childhood I wanted to carry through.
02:00Her mom would always serve us tea, and then she always serves us tea.
02:06So I feel like it's a really girly thing that happens in our family.
02:11And my dad makes all the girls tea every single night for as long as I can remember.
02:15It's a Dutch thing.
02:17These are crystals that I collect.
02:20Each is collected in different parts of the world that are handpicked and traveled with me to different places.
02:28The crystals have come to me in different times of my life, usually by feeling.
02:33And these particular colors are representative of all the chakras.
02:38The functionality of each chakra is different.
02:41So let's say this is your throat chakra, blue.
02:44It's your voice.
02:45So if I'm feeling like I can't, you know, speak my mind, I'm going to touch that more.
02:57The object I'm going to show you today is the first bag I ever designed.
03:01After school, when I was really little, I used to just come to the factory.
03:04And I was with my best friend at the time.
03:06And I didn't know how to sew.
03:07I didn't know how to sew.
03:08I didn't really know what piping was.
03:09I didn't know any of that.
03:10My parents let me play with a bunch of scraps, and I stapled this bag.
03:13And I mean, I think this is a label maker that says my best friend and my name on it.
03:19Ever since I was a kid, I was obsessed with my parents.
03:21They were my superheroes.
03:22Wanted to be just like them.
03:23Wanted to design.
03:24Anything they did, I wanted to do.
03:26I was literally going to cry.
03:28She came in, and she was so proud of this bag.
03:32She came in, and she was so proud of this bag.
03:35And remember at the time, her dad was like anti-color.
03:39It was black leather or no.
03:41We're never going to sell color.
03:42We're never going to do bags.
03:43So two things.
03:44She did a bag in color.
03:46So to me, it was like, yes, that's my girl.
03:49That's my girl.
03:50She's a rebel.
03:56This is another object that I wanted to share.
03:58I think it's the first Crown Hearts coffin.
04:00In the Crown Hearts coffin, I had asked for a table.
04:02And instead, I have received a jewelry box that my dad designed for me for a special birthday.
04:07And I keep all my goodies and notes and good vibes in here.
04:10I keep notes from old lovers and new lovers and bass players and friends.
04:16My monster puppets, which are vital to my living.
04:20I keep everything my friends give me and my parents and things that make me feel like at home.
04:25I like to have one place to go because I'm always traveling.
04:28I'm always touring.
04:29I know if I go in here, I'm going to find everything.
04:31I want to maybe bring pictures of my dog and I, and I'll put them on my dressing rooms.
04:35This is Billie.
04:37Love of my life.
04:38These are her ashes.
04:40Only the finest for her in a Crown Hearts fragrance bottle.
04:51My favorite object of affection.
04:53My Sugar John's boots.
04:55My stage boots.
04:56They're my second skin.
04:57I don't play a show without them and I can't go anywhere without them.
05:01I originally designed these with my friend Chris, who's a shoemaker.
05:05He's fabulous.
05:06And we went back and forth and I just knew I wanted to feel like a feline on stage and be able to stomp and feel powerful.
05:12And I didn't have that shoe yet.
05:14I wanted to create my own.
05:15I wanted it to hug me and I wanted them in every color.
05:18So this is what they ended up looking like.
05:20This was my first pair ever made.
05:22They weren't even technically Crown Hearts yet.
05:25They were just for me.
05:26And it was the first tour I was ever going to go on.
05:29And I was opening up for the vaccines and I made these.
05:32They took like three months.
05:34I was so excited and this was the first pair.
05:36And then my friends started to kind of get a little annoyed that they couldn't own them.
05:40So I made them for Crown Hearts.
05:41It's actually mandatory that everyone wears Sugar John's in the Crown Hearts factory.
05:45So I'm going to show them really quick.
05:47Mom, Frankie Bell, will you come show your boots?
05:56We have the pink and we have the black.
06:04This is our newspaper print for our first bikini that was like super sentimental to us.
06:09And we put our own photos on the newspaper.
06:14And then a bunch of sayings that we've always said growing up.
06:17And then all the small little letters are my sister's lyrics.
06:22She's always said never grow up, don't rush it.
06:25I think at first I wanted to grow up quicker so I could hang out with her and her friends.
06:29As I got older, I really believed in never grow up and like ran with that.
06:35And so there's a little piece of like everybody I love in this bikini.
06:39As her older sister, honestly, I just was waiting for her to be born.
06:42So I could have my best friend, my official best friend.
06:44And now she's cooler than me.
06:46And speaking of that, I have to go to rehearsal.
06:48So I love you. I'll let you take over.
06:51Bye, Mommy.
06:52Bye, sweetie.
06:53Love.
06:56This next object is a vintage Harley Davidson zip up hoodie that means a lot to me.
07:05It's one of the last things that I received from my best friend.
07:10I bring this jacket with me everywhere I go.
07:13It's just like something super comforting for me to always have with me.
07:17But it's so funny because my friends borrow my clothes all the time.
07:20And a lot of people always want to take this.
07:23And I'm like, take it off.
07:24Like you have to leave it in there.
07:25It's like the one thing I don't let anybody borrow.
07:28But it's super cute.
07:33All right.
07:34So this box has been with me for a very long time.
07:37I feel like it's one of the first things that I remember getting.
07:41I was around this age.
07:42I don't remember like when I got this.
07:45But my sister gave it to me.
07:47She always had blue hair.
07:48I always wanted pink hair.
07:50And then I ended up getting blue hair just like her.
07:53And then inside here, just like little things.
07:56This is my first $2 bill that my grandpa Larry gave me.
08:00He collected $2 bills.
08:02This is from my grandma.
08:04It's her old perfume.
08:06And there's just a bunch of other like photos.
08:09This is one of my favorite rings ever.
08:11It's a Baccarat ring that my mom gifted to me.
08:15And it matches with my grandma, sister, and my mom.
08:20And so it's just super, super, super beautiful.
08:25That's the whole fam.
08:32Thank you so much for coming along with us around the Factory Vogue.
08:36It was so fun and we hope to see you again.
08:50Thank you.
