00:00Finally, there are 77 Chinese who work in a company in Bulacan.
00:05Some of them have undocumented or tourist visa only.
00:10This is the story of Jamie Santos.
00:14On a bus ride, they brought to the NBI headquarters in Quezon City
00:18the 77 Chinese nationals from Bulacan.
00:2236 of them have undocumented and 23 of them have tourist visa.
00:29They were arrested after the NBI-Bulacan District Office received an intelligence report
00:35of an information of a company in Bulacan that has foreign national employees.
00:40The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission and Bureau of Immigration
00:45went to the NBI's factory in Barangay Santo Cristo in Noced, Del Monte.
00:50Most of the people working there are Chinese nationals.
00:54The company where the Chinese nationals work
00:57is producing water pipes for a water concessionaire.
01:01According to the employee of the company,
01:03some of them have undocumented documents while others are still being processed.
01:07We have some persons who have legal working permit
01:11and some are still in the progress of applying for the permit.
01:16And some, they don't have, they are just sending their documents and passport to the third party.
01:24As far as I know, this corporation is a legitimate corporation.
01:37But then, they are employing Chinese people,
01:41while the Filipinos are allowed.
01:45So the Filipinos are being prejudiced
01:49because one of the reasons why foreigners can employ them
01:56is because the Filipinos are not able to do it.
02:00But then, we saw that they are just producing large pipes,
02:05so why do they need more foreigners?
02:08The company's six officials were also arrested.
02:11According to the NBI, the company hiring them will surely be held accountable.
02:16The NBI will consult with Immigration
02:19to conduct an investigation on how the foreigners arrived in the Philippines.
02:24They are undocumented in the Philippines.
02:29The possibility that they are trafficked is possible.
