00:08They're in the wildcard spot right now with the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Mets.

00:17season because the Diamondbacks have gotten hot.

00:21San Diego is one game over 500.
00:22Pittsburgh is a 500 team and simply put any team that goes on a five, six game winning

00:29So it may not mean much over the course of the season, but it does mean a lot right now.

00:33You know, I, again, I feel like the Braves are a team that is going to be a lock for
00:38one of those wildcard spots, but after that, it gets really interesting.
00:40The Cardinals have a negative wind, sorry, negative run deferential, and they have the
00:44fifth toughest strength of schedule going into the second half of the season.
00:48I really like the Diamondbacks as a team that can kind of jump into contention.
00:52They're going to have Merrill Kelly and Eduardo Rodriguez, who they picked up in the offseason.
00:56I thought that was a great pickup in free agency who hasn't pitched yet this season.
00:59Both of those guys are expected to return at some point in August and Corbin Carroll
01:03is going to find his level at some point, like we've been waiting for it all season.
01:08He started to get into a little bit of a groove before the all-star break, and I expect their
01:11talent to kind of prevail there.
01:13The Potters are another interesting team.
01:15Joe Musgrove is going to be coming back at some point in the second half of the season.
01:18But when you look at teams like the Pirates, you know, Jared Jones is out, even though
01:21Paul Skeen's been incredible, we saw them kind of tail off when they were in a similar
01:25position around the all-star break last year.
01:28I feel like the same goes for teams like the Reds, the Giants, the Cubs.
01:30There's a lot of teams in that mix.
01:32I just don't know if those teams have the talent to overtake teams like the Diamondbacks
01:37or the Padres who are going to be trying to jump in ahead of the Cardinals and the Mets.
