00:00Catching lightning in a bottle is what the WNBA is doing.
00:06They have the all-star game on Saturday night, and you couldn't pick a better format, coach.
00:10Team USA versus the WNBA All-Stars.
00:13We look at the line.
00:14It's a five-and-a-half point number as a favorite towards Team USA.
00:17The initial look for me would be, that's absolutely crazy, because theoretically, you're supposed
00:21to have the top 15 players on one side versus the rest of the league.
00:25It should be a runaway.
00:26But now, as we set up, it's Angel Reese.
00:29It's Kaitlin Clark trying to make a, you know, like, basically even the playing field
00:33by saying, we should be on this WNBA Team USA.
00:38What is the deal in this all-star game?
00:39And quite frankly, who wins this bad boy?
00:42First things first, I'm going to say this, and this will be the highest-rated women's
00:49event in the history of this country, because this is where the narrative comes in.
00:54You have, obviously, Team USA.
00:57Then you have the greatness of Kaitlin Clark, who some people believe, rightfully so, should
01:02be on Team USA.
01:03So now you have all these things coming together.
01:06Playing the game Saturday night, 8.30, perfect spot.
01:10I think there's going to be plenty of eyes on this game.
01:13And listen, Diana Taurasi kind of already put it out there, saying we have a lot to
01:18prove.
01:19They have a lot to prove in a couple of fronts.
01:21Number one, they're just getting together.
01:22Number two, they're looking at a girl across the floor who many think should be there.
01:27These are very competitive women.
01:29I think this is going to be, honestly, this ain't going to be the NBA all-star game.
01:34This is going to have some juice.
01:35This is going to have some sizzle.
01:37This may even, folks, this may even have some defense in there.
01:41But that being said, the length, the experience, it already has moved a little bit.
01:46I think it was the 4.5, I think when it first came up, not the 5.5.
01:49I do like Team USA because they got to get off to a good start.
01:52They don't have a lot of time.
01:53I do like them to cover the spread in the game Saturday night.
02:23You mentioned it's going to have some juice.
02:26Five and a half points spread, 194 in a hook.
02:29Is that over under?
02:30How would you approach it from a handicap perspective in terms of laying down a wager
02:34tomorrow night?
02:35Well, I think it's going to be Team USA minus the points because I think their experience
02:40and I think the fact that for them, they've also been in this Olympic, they've been in
02:44this pool together.
02:46So they've actually had practices and stuff over the last two and a half years leading
02:50up to this.
02:51They've not just rolled the ball out for the first time, a lot of these ladies have
02:55been on the floor together.
02:56They've been in the Olympic pool training and working together in the offseason.
02:59So I do think that is where you like it.
03:02Over under, I probably will just go Team Turtle over for Team USA because I think they'll
03:08be able to score and score at will versus the WNBA All-Stars.
03:14And Ben, you may be right, 18.9 million viewers.
03:18But Caitlin Clark has dragged this league into heights that we've never ever seen.
03:23And there is a narrative that a lot of the Caitlin Clark supporters are going to watch
03:27this game because they want to see how she does.
03:30I think you get the other side of the people that want to see, can she do it?
03:35So I mean, you may sit there and say there's no chance.
03:38Maybe it's not 18.9 million viewers.
03:40I think it surpasses every, yes, WNBA All-Star game.
03:43I think it surpasses every WNBA game, period, on Saturday night.
03:48You know what I mean?
03:49I think it surpasses every WNBA game, period, on Saturday night.
