00:00That was the second bridge. It was the first one from the 1870s. It was washed away in a flood.
00:14We got to see it now.
00:16By a scout when the bridge was opened back in 1930.
00:23Balian here is a, we'll call it a descendant from the scout group. We're going to claim he's that today anyway.
00:31In some way, shape or form. Now he wants to get going here because as you can see he's got no jumper on.
00:38Balian, if I can ask you to move on down this way and we'll just follow as we move through.
00:53We now declare this Mandadgery Creek Bridge at Manildja open.
01:15It's great to see a small community like this having such a new innovation in bridge design that enabled you to keep the alignment of the bridge.
01:31So that nothing really changed from that perspective, but also to keep the bridge open.
01:35To the bridge builders, congratulations on a magnificent achievement.
01:45I'd like to know how much steel that bridge is still. There's a lot of steel being fired up here whenever I cross that bridge.
01:52It went through a bit of a tough start as well with having the worksite flooded out.
01:58I think you've done a tremendous job in constructing this bridge.
02:02I'd like to welcome you down to the other side.
