00:00Rob, it's lovely to see you.
00:01Good to see you.
00:02I was at the fan event.
00:03Did you feel like a rock star?
00:05Yeah, honestly, that did feel rock star-y,
00:08because people were so excited.
00:10You're part of something so much larger.
00:14And so it felt amazing to do that,
00:16and see how excited people were.
00:19And to know that their excitement was warranted,
00:21because I knew what they were about to see.
00:23And it was really thrilling to play a little part
00:26in helping to deliver the package.
00:27I'd honestly never seen anything like it in my life.
00:30I was like, this is wild.
00:31The energy was insane.
00:33But the love for Peter.
00:35As soon as Peter was mentioned, you just
00:37felt the vibration in the room.
00:40Peter, some would say, is the heart of Deadpool.
00:43I mean, he's a heart, yeah.
00:45I mean, what's nice is the film is so heart-filled.
00:48And watching Wade and Logan, AKA Deadpool and Wolverine
00:54together, is really special.
00:56Because they have a real wonderful relationship.
00:58But yeah, it's hard not to like Peter,
01:02because he's played by me, and other reasons.
01:05Now, I'm holding my phone here, because I just
01:07wanted to show you that I actually
01:10dressed up as Deadpool.
01:12Oh my gosh, I love it.
01:13I tipped it as one of my movies to look out for in 2024.
01:17However, I'll play it just, it's not
01:19going to have any sound, because you don't need to hear it.
01:21But I couldn't breathe.
01:22So what I need to know is, does Ryan
01:25actually wear the costume?
01:27Does he talk in it?
01:28What do you know, Rob?
01:29Because I think it's impossible.
01:31OK, so he very legitimately does.
01:33I mean, I'm sure whatever the hood is made out of
01:37is something, some very special material.
01:40Because as I understand it, you can, in fact,
01:42breathe through it.
01:43So he's not struggling.
01:45It's not, he loves to take it off at the end of the day.
01:48But they do make it comfortable enough
01:49that he can be in it and maintain a healthy blood oxygen
01:54level.
01:55I see.
01:55I think Marvel and Disney probably
01:57have more of a budget.
01:58This is possible.
01:59Than what I did.
02:00I don't want to say conclusively, but probably.
02:02But thank you for that.
02:03That was a really burning question for me.
02:05So I do appreciate you answering that.
02:08And listen, how does it feel to be a part of this?
02:10Because I felt the love in the room.
02:12Yeah.
02:12People love it so much.
02:14And how does it feel to be part of the MCU,
02:17but this specifically?
02:18Because it does feel like Deadpool and Wolverine's
02:20its own thing.
02:22Oh, oh, without question.
02:23Yeah, it feels very special.
02:25And I was so happy to see the way
02:28that they weaved it into the MCU.
02:30Because they do it in a way that just feels
02:32organic and earned and real.
02:35So you're not trying to weave things together
02:37that shouldn't be.
02:38It's done very thoughtfully.
02:40And in a vacuum, you could watch this film
02:44and you don't need to do any homework, which
02:47no one likes homework.
02:49It should be illegal.
02:52But if you have done your homework, nerd,
02:54you'll also be very rewarded.
02:57I mean, there are things that show up
02:58after what you saw where I was straight up doing somersaults
03:03because they're so spectacular.
03:05Could you do a somersault now or is it too dangerous?
03:07There's just not enough room in here due to all the lights.
03:10I would, but something could fall and hurt you.
03:12I get it.
03:13Now, Peter seems to think that he doesn't
03:15have any superhero powers.
03:16Yeah.
03:17I think his enthusiasm is amazing.
03:20That's important.
03:21Right.
03:21So earnestness, you know, especially
03:23in sort of a deadpool world where, yes, there's light,
03:27but there's no shortage of darkness.
03:28Yeah, I think Peter's earnestness and warmth
03:31is a bit of a superpower.
03:33I think my superpower would be talking.
03:35I could talk for Scotland.
03:36Really, I get paid to talk.
03:37What would be Rob Delaney's superpower?
03:41If you were in a quiet place scenario,
03:44I could immediately fall asleep.
03:45I'm near, I'm almost narcoleptic in a wonderful way,
03:49a superpower.
03:50I could lie down on the floor and you'd be like, is he dead?
03:52Who cares?
03:53I love to sleep.
03:54That could come in handy, especially
03:56when you're this busy doing press tours and all that.
03:58Being able to sleep is a good thing.
04:00Now, listen, breaking the fourth wall,
04:02I love that Deadpool does that, and it does it so well.
04:04But I also very much enjoy the innuendos.
04:07And you kind of expect it because you
04:09know it's going to be R-rated, but there was some
04:12that even I was like, ah.
04:14Genuinely, yes, because I'm a scumbag,
04:17and the way that I talk is awful.
04:19And even me, I heard things in this where I was like,
04:22pfft, wah.
04:24So yeah, they go for it, for sure.
04:26Amazing.
04:27Well, you're not a scumbag, and I would also
04:29add that one of your superpowers is being very funny.
04:31Thank you.
04:32Thank you so much.
04:33Thanks.
