00:22The whole family hears this, and one of them talks about the owner of the dogs, named Henna.

00:34the family receives a letter from a family member, who informs them that the war has ended.
00:39Then Johannes and Maria spend some time together, and Johannes reminds her to attend school with him.
00:44Maria absentmindedly agrees, because she is thinking about having fun with each other.
00:50The days has passed, and Maria has stayed with the Brendels,
00:53doing household chores, and mostly spends her day reading novels.
00:58One day, Henna visits the Brendel shop and inquires about Maria. One day, Maria accompanies

03:20the steering wheel locks, leading to an accident. Thankfully, they remain unharmed,
03:26but the accident leaves them shaken. Suddenly, Maria hears the dogs' barks,

05:19her neck. Maria thinks that he is feeling his guilt, so she assures him that nobody knows about
05:25the relationship, and she won't tell anyone about it. Henna reminds her she has to promise it,
05:31and he leaves to grab a balm for her marks. When he's done applying the balm, he wraps the letter
05:36in her scarf, and returns it to her. Following her encounter with Henna, Maria returns to the
05:42Brendel's residence, and Marian asks her where she's been. Maria lies, saying she was at the
05:48river, and has forgotten the time. Later Marian asks her to help her get the table ready for the
05:54meal. During their lunch, Maria dissociates herself from the family, while everyone is
05:59gossiping about different issues. When lunch is finished, Johannes tries to take Maria's photo
06:05while she's in bed. Maria covers herself and asks him not to do it, but he doesn't listen to her.
06:10Once done, Maria resumes her attention to her book. However, her book conceals Henna's letter,
06:17and she eagerly reads it. Upon learning that he wants to pick her up tomorrow,
