The Director of the US Secret Service has admitted the assassination attempt on Donald Trump was "the most significant operational failure at the Secret Service in decades."

Kimberly Cheatle is being grilled in Congress over the shooting which resulted in Mr Trump being shot in the ear and a spectator killed, while two others were injured.
