I Built 100 Houses And Gave Them Away
Transcript
00:00In this video we are building and giving away 100 houses and each home is going to change a family's life
00:06Like this family who didn't have a house to call their own and they have no idea
00:10We just built them. Take off your blindfolds and turn around behind you is your brand new home
00:17I was not expecting that reaction
00:19She is freaking out
00:25And this is just the first of a hundred houses were given away
00:30I'm glad they're happy. Let's go give away another house with every single home. We're building in this video
00:36We're improving quality of life for families who don't have a safe space to call home and we spend millions of dollars
00:42Just on this video building these houses because here in Jamaica
00:45There are currently over a half a million people living in unsafe life-threatening conditions
00:51Like this next family whose house is so unsafe and unstable that it could literally collapse on them at any given moment
00:57So you built this place? Yeah. By yourself? Yeah, I brought boards and all materials they see. But we're on top of a mountain
01:04So you carried all this material up this mountain? Yep. On my head. Wow. We knew we wanted to build this family a house
01:10So we sent them on a mini vacation so that we had enough time to work with our partners to build them a brand new home
01:17You're about to witness a family that lives in this house go to living in this house
01:22And I cannot wait to see the look on their faces. Oh
01:25Oh my
01:27What you're looking at is your brand new home. The trip we sent you guys on was just a decoy
01:33So we're gonna have time to build this brand new house for you. You want to see the inside? Come check it out
01:39We noticed that you guys might need some new furniture
01:42So we completely furnished your new home. Now on top of electricity you have a water tank for running water
01:47We put bunk beds in this room for two of the kids. Oh my. And if you go across the hallway
01:52You'll see your bedroom. Nice. With a little crib because I heard you had a newborn. Tyra, that's your crib
01:57It's been really hard and you guys changed my life
02:02Here's officially the deed to the house. Thank you guys so much. And it sucks
02:06But some of these places that these families live are extremely unsafe and in some cases life-threatening
02:12That's where this family currently lives. The mom was telling us that that roof doesn't work. When the rain fall
02:17The whole place flooded. All over here. Her kids get soaked and can't sleep and as of today that will not happen again
02:23We built that brand new home for you. Here's the keys
02:31But of course this was just the beginning
02:33We were able to build home after home for families in Jamaica and we weren't gonna stop until we had built 100 houses
02:40But unfortunately at our next destination
02:43There's a river that destroys hundreds of homes every year
02:46You see during rainy season this river flash floods washing away all the homes and anyone
02:51Unlucky enough to be inside and as you can see there's literally a fridge right there
02:55Which I assume got there because their house got swept away. Exactly
02:58So you're saying when this floods those houses that currently have families living in them could potentially be destroyed. Yes, they will
03:05Well, not on my watch because just a couple miles away. We've built rows of new houses for this community. No joke
03:11We're giving away this home, this home, this home, this home, this home, this home, this home, this home
03:16There's a lot of homes
03:17So we started with Maria and her daughter whose previous home was completely
03:22Demolished by the river during rainy season and without even a bed to sleep in every single day has been a struggle for them
03:30All right, and since they don't speak English
03:32Can you translate for them to turn around and look at their brand new home?
03:41Gracias. Gracias Padrecito lindo. Gracias. No problem. Come check out the inside. Oh, you want to give me a hug. Come on.
03:54And while walking through their new home, we realized they didn't even know their house was free yet
03:59Oh, you haven't told them it's free? No. Yeah, tell them it's free. No van a pagar. Todo esto es suyo.
04:03Gracias Padre.
04:05Congrats on the new home.
04:07Papito.
04:09You're crazy for not telling me that it was free.
04:11Si, se puede acostar.
04:13Ay, voy a dormir.
04:15What do you think of it?
04:17What'd she say? Can he hug you? Oh, of course.
04:19Gracias.
04:21This is why we do videos like that. Look how happy they are.
04:23Te lo agradezco. No me juras.
04:25I don't want you to have to worry about the river anymore.
04:27This is your brand new home. Enjoy the new home, little man.
04:29We heard they had a newborn, so we also got him a crib.
04:35See that row of houses behind me with the families blindfolded in front of them?
04:37We are not kidnapping the families.
04:39We're giving them all houses at the same time.
04:41Eight families' lives are about to change forever.
04:43Attention, everybody. Remove your blindfolds and turn around and look at your brand new home.
04:49Congratulations.
04:55Hey, gracias por la casa, Jimmy.
04:57I gotta go down. I need to see the reactions.
04:59What do you think of the new place? Gracias.
05:01Congrats. Can you ask them if they like their new house?
05:03Me gusta su nueva casa.
05:05Let's see if they do. What do you think of it?
05:07Gracias.
05:09I hope you like it. And now we're at the end of the row.
05:11What do you think of your new home? Muy bien.
05:13Come over here. I have something way better than just a picture.
05:15Can you ask him if he wants to play football with me?
05:19Yeah.
05:21Well, that's convenient because not only are we giving this community houses,
05:23but we're also giving them this giant soccer field.
05:27And the best part is I have hundreds of kids waiting over here,
05:29and we're going to surprise them.
05:31And this is the neighborhood's first look at their brand new soccer field.
05:33Let's play some soccer.
05:35Enjoy your new soccer field. Go have fun.
05:37And of course, a new field had to come
05:39with brand new soccer equipment for all the kids.
05:41Make sure you guys have a lot of fun on the soccer field.
05:43But I don't know if the soccer field was enough
05:45because all the kids started demanding Feastables.
05:49All right, here's some Feastables.
05:51They really love Feastables here.
05:53I will start carrying more Feastables.
05:55I don't know what he said, but if he said it tastes good,
05:57then he's correct.
05:59But of course, outside of this community,
06:01more families across El Salvador
06:03were in need of safe housing.
06:05So on our way out, we built as many houses
06:07as we possibly could.
06:09But we're only halfway there
06:11because a small community in Argentina also needed our help.
06:13And we built house after house
06:15to ensure that every single child
06:17in this community had a safe place
06:19to learn and grow.
06:21But we still weren't done.
06:23So we even flew all the way over to Mexico
06:25where we continued to build house after house
06:27for all of these communities.
06:29And when we arrived at our next destination
06:31in Colombia, we found a community
06:33whose homes were ravaged
06:35by a brutal windstorm.
06:37The next family used to live in a house like this.
06:39I say used to because a tornado destroyed it.
06:41And clearly, these houses are in no way livable.
06:43And so, of course,
06:45we built John and Ana a brand new home.
06:47And now all we have to do
06:49is give it to them.
06:51This family has no idea they're about to get that house.
06:53Right there's good.
06:55Okay, take them off.
06:57Congrats!
06:59I know it might not seem real, but this is legitimately your house.
07:01You want to unlock the front door?
07:03They're all in shock, and to be honest,
07:05I don't even think they believe this is their house.
07:09They may not be saying anything, but
07:11the tears say a lot.
07:13Congrats, man. Congrats.
07:15This is yours.
07:23But John and Ana
07:25weren't the only ones that needed help in Colombia.
07:27So you can probably guess what we did
07:29for the rest of the community.
07:35It shouldn't be a stretch that
07:37everyone in the world deserves a safe roof
07:39over their head.
07:41But not every house we built
07:43went quite so smoothly.
07:45I accidentally broke the lock to the door.
07:47Their furniture is still outside, which we were going to move in there.
07:49The family just pulled up. We put bars
07:51on the windows so I can't get in.
07:53We're very screwed.
07:55The family's here. Looks like we're out of time.
07:59Hey, how's it going?
08:01Come on over.
08:03I don't know. I think I broke the lock.
08:05I can't get the door open.
08:07Maybe I'm just dumb.
08:09Oh, what? Wait, how did you do that?
08:11Are we dumb?
08:13All right, boys, come on in.
08:15Personally, I'm not quite the best locksmith.
08:17You want to see it?
08:19They totally haven't seen any of the furniture yet.
08:21What surprised us is that Jose and his family
08:23now had a place to call home.
08:25And we also heard
08:27their only means of transportation broke down.
08:29And so, one more surprise.
08:31We also got you guys
08:33a brand new motorcycle.
08:35Here you go.
08:37No problem.
08:39Now they have a brand new home
08:41and a way to get around.
08:43And this got me thinking.
08:45While giving away all these houses,
08:47I noticed a lot of people were struggling with transportation.
08:49So, I made it up.
08:51We got bicycles
08:53for every single kid in this village.
08:55No problem, man.
08:57And after giving away
08:5999 free homes,
09:01we still had one home left to give away.
09:03And finally,
09:05House 100.
09:07Take your blindfolds off and look at your new home.
09:13Congrats.
09:15Congrats.
09:17Check it out.
09:19Shout out to all our partners
09:21that helped build these houses.
09:23And also, shout out to you guys.
09:25Because obviously, if you didn't watch these videos,
09:27we wouldn't have been able to build 100 houses.
09:29And if the channel continues to grow,
09:31I hope to do 1,000 in the future.
