00:00After a judge dismissed the rust shooting case against Alec Baldwin. We're all wondering where do we go from here? Let's find out
00:09In the co what's happening? Hey Liam, okay, we saw Alec very emotional after the case was dismissed. What's he saying?
00:15Well, everyone was pretty shocked when the judge decided to toss out the involuntary manslaughter charge in his first statement since the case
00:23Which remember was tied to the 2021 death of cinematographer Helena Hutchins on the set of rust
00:28Alec thanked everyone that had supported him, but a source tells us he didn't celebrate this
00:33This was a really awful situation and he's just relieved. It's over
00:38Okay, that makes sense. But why was the case dismissed?
00:41So just three days into a trial that was expected to take a couple of weeks
00:45Alex attorneys basically accused the prosecution of trying to suppress evidence
00:49They believed that would have helped Alec and a judge agreed keep in mind this entire time
00:55Alec has said he did not pull the trigger and has no idea why there would have been live ammunition in the gun
01:00So many twists and turns Liam. Okay, what's next for him as far as the criminal case goes?
01:06That's finished prosecutors cannot refile an involuntary manslaughter charge because it was dismissed with prejudice
01:12Alec does still face a couple of civil cases including suits from members of Helena's family
01:17But he won't be charged again
01:19He does have a reality show with his family premiering on TLC next year and believe it or not
01:24They finished filming of rust last year. And at some point that will be released, too
01:28Oh, man, it's just an awful thing that happened and I hope everyone involved can find some peace
01:34Well, thank you for the info Liam any time I go. See you next time. All right. Bye
