00:16Maris, as of 6.06 this morning, it's still cloudy and rainy.

00:20This is the time we're experiencing here in Batangas City.

00:23In some parts of Batangas, some residents are calling on the authorities

00:27to solve their problem of flooding.

00:37The heavy rain in most parts of Batangas was almost unbearable yesterday.

00:41In Lipa City, it started raining on Sunday night.

00:44It was difficult to travel because only a few people were riding jeeps and tricycles.

00:48No one was able to go back to their homes in the city.

00:52The rain in Batangas City was almost continuous.

00:56Some roads were flooded, like the DJP-MM Access Road,

00:59and some parts of the population.

01:01That's why the flow of vehicles was slow.

01:05According to Batangas City DRRMO,

01:07it's possible that the small canal hole and the absence of a large outfall

01:12that is caused by the rain is the reason for the flooding in the mentioned areas.

01:16What we're also seeing is that the National Government,

01:21the DWH Drainage that comes from UTAP,

01:24can't handle the drainage for our outfall.

01:29According to Pag-asa,

01:30this is the effect of the heavy rain that was intensified by Hurricane Karina

01:34in Calakhang, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa.

01:37It's possible that it will last until Friday.

01:40We're hoping that this weekday,

01:43we'll have more rain,
