00:00Burgess being trapped down in that well
00:02would have been a nightmare scenario
00:05even without the post-traumatic stress.
00:06So how did you approach that whole sequence
00:10and was it as cramped as it looked?
00:12You know, it was tight.
00:13I mean, you're in water in a uniform trying to act
00:17and you can't really leave the well
00:20and there's a lot of people there.
00:21So I'm just glad I wasn't claustrophobic.
00:23That would have added a whole nother level to the PTSD.
00:24Wasn't as tight as the train.
00:26It's tighter than the train.
00:28Yeah, but I mean, but they had the ability
00:30to move the walls, right?
00:31Like on the train.
00:32No, no, it was, the train was bad.
00:35There's a thing sticking out of the train
00:37that I ripped my pants on every time.
00:40Not like a little rip.
00:42And there was, they tried to pat it,
00:43but you could tell because I'm in that little space.
00:45So every time I completely tore the pocket off my pants.
00:49They both were, neither was comfortable.
00:51Let's just say that.
00:52Neither was comfortable.
00:54Do you, do you want to be wet
00:56or do you want to be sopped in fake blood?
01:00I mean, I would take off my clothes every night
01:01and I would just have blossoming bruises from like,
01:05and I'd be like, I don't, I don't know what that's from.
01:07It looks like it hurt.
01:10Yes, on the train it seemed like Burgess
01:12chose a very poor day to wear a white sweater.
01:15You know, that was a, if you'll recall,
01:18which I don't know if anyone will,
01:19but like that's exactly the shirt I was wearing
01:22essentially when I got shot.
01:24And so it was supposed to,
01:27we were supposed to have a crane shot
01:29that actually went up like the time I was shot,
01:31but the ceiling on the,
01:33the ceiling of the train drops down
01:35exactly in that point that I am.
01:37So we weren't able to get the shot.
01:39That was, Chad wasn't that, that he wanted.
01:41I mean, it's still worked out beautifully,
01:43but he wasn't able to get that shot,
01:45but it was supposed to sort of bring me back
01:47in a way as well.
01:49It was supposed to sort of help the journey,
01:50but those are little golden eggs that only like.
01:54Easter eggs.
01:55Easter eggs, yeah.
01:56Well, it was cramped for you in the train.
02:00Patty, what was it like for you filming out
02:02in the tunnel for the L sequence?
02:05Oh, it was good.
02:07I think she had it a lot tougher on the train.
02:10I mean, that day,
02:13actually when we were on the train,
02:14I was like, I was fairly sick.
02:16So I was not sick when we were filming in the tunnel.
02:19So I was, I was like,
02:22my whole experience changed dradically,
02:25dramatically, dradically,
02:27drastically and dramatically combined becomes dradically.
02:30It was great.
02:31It was, it was interesting.
02:32It was kind of fun to see how the sausage is made,
02:34you know, as far as the CTA is concerned,
02:37not quite as fun, I think,
02:38for the crew who had to push all of their equipment
02:46about a quarter to a half a mile down the tracks,
02:49over gravel, over train tracks.
02:52And we, there's a lot of safety regulations.
02:55The CTA obviously has to make sure
02:57that everybody's doing their due diligence.
02:59You know, there's the third rail, which is, you know,
03:03you look at the third rail
03:04and you're going to get shocked to death.
03:05So it was, it was an intense day for the crew.
03:11The poor background, God bless you.
03:13If you're watching this and you did background that day
03:15or any of those days, thank you.
03:18Because not only did they work really hard and kill it,
03:21they, you know, there was no bathroom.
03:25It was crazy.
03:28So really it was, it was more logistical.
03:32The shooting was fun and interesting
03:34and you could see how beautiful
03:36and dramatic it was going to look on camera.
03:39It was more the logistics of it
03:40that were difficult for everybody around me.
03:43For me, I, you know, I had it pretty easy
03:46other than, you know, having to jog to the bathroom
03:50a couple of times, you know, a million miles away.
03:54But they let me go.
03:57The other people, you know,
03:58they're looking at corners and bottles.
