00:00The Sowing Bee started with 12 and now just three remain.
00:10The winner of the Great British Sowing Bee is...
00:30This year's three Sowing Bee finalists each have a very different approach to their craft.
00:48Despite a shaky start, Ailsa's remained true to her own unique style.
00:56But it wasn't long before her inspired approach to form won her her first garment of the week.
01:04From there, Ailsa, the praise continued.
01:07The idea behind this is really smart.
01:09Ailsa has continually delivered the most original looking garments.
01:15She has a great affinity with shape and she has the technical ability.
01:20For a long time, I've lacked the self-confidence to kind of put myself out there.
01:25So to still be here really means the world to me.
01:29Despite being the youngest sower in the room, 20-year-old Pasha has consistently impressed.
01:35I don't think you could have fitted a pair of trousers any better.
01:38Winning six individual challenges.
01:40We're all having a good day.
01:42And three garments of the week.
01:44We couldn't help smile every time we thought about this.
01:48Pasha is probably the most technical sower.
01:51And as the competition has gone on, she's got more and more creative.
01:56And I find that really exciting.
01:57I could never have imagined that I'd get this far.
02:01Last night, it was like waiting for Christmas.
02:03I was so excited.
02:05But I had a good night's sleep, so I'm all ready to go.
02:08That is a big tie.
02:09I was ready for business at a very early age.
02:12From the beginning, Luke's creativity impressed.
02:15This fabric is fabulous.
02:17But their overambition...
02:18You've given yourself a lot to do.
02:20...meant sometimes falling short.
02:22The trouser fit isn't terrific.
02:24And they were pipped to the post for garment of the week.
02:27More accessorising with bike handlebars.
02:30Wow.
02:31Until the judges went gaga...
02:33Shall we put the light on?
02:35...for their diva-inspired outfit.
02:37Luke has always aimed high.
02:39We've seen bravery and willingness to create dramatic-looking clothes.
02:44And they have got better and better.
02:46When I applied for the show, I applied to have a good time.
02:50Not a long time.
02:51So, I can't believe I'm here.
02:53But also, I'm really proud that I'm here as well.
02:55So, yeah, lots going on.
02:57Our three finalists all bring different things to the room.
03:02So, who knows who's going to win?
03:05And that makes it quite exciting.
03:07Come forward, sewers.
03:13It's the final.
03:14The big one.
03:15The last instalment.
03:16And like Boyz II Men said, we've come to the end of the road.
03:20So, Esme, for the last time, hit me.
03:26Right.
03:27Should we be scared?
03:28It's terrifying.
03:29Yeah.
03:31Oh!
03:32What we want you to make is a pair of opera gloves.
03:37The hem is above the elbow.
03:39And it's got a gusset that goes between the fingers.
03:43You'll need a stretch fabric.
03:45You'll find a big selection in the haberdashery.
03:48And we've given you plenty of time.
03:51So, we expect two perfectly identical, perfectly sewn gloves.
03:56And as it's the final, you are allowed to sabotage each other's work.
04:01I'm joking.
04:02Or am I?
04:05You have three hours.
04:06And your time starts now.
04:11To create two glamorous gloves...
04:13Is this stretchy?
04:14The sewers must choose a fabric that's both luxurious to look at...
04:18I kind of love that, but it's so thick.
04:20And the right weight to take on their smallest pattern yet.
04:24I've gone for a stretch velvet.
04:27And then it's got these gold circles on.
04:29I wanted to give that looks feel.
04:31I mean, we're in the final.
04:33I have gone for this black textured fabric.
04:38It's got fun kind of spots.
04:40I'm the only one that's chosen lace.
04:42But I feel like opera gloves, they're nicer when they're quite nice and dainty.
04:46I've made a few gloves before.
04:49I've also been to a few operas.
04:51Do you know if that's going to help?
04:54Opera gloves were first popular during the Regency period.
04:58But it was in the late Victorian era, where an uncovered hand was an owner,
05:02that they were most in vogue, acting as a symbol of status and wealth.
05:07In recent times, opera gloves have become the epitome of Hollywood glamour,
05:12and are still commonly worn to elevate evening wear.
05:15I love going to the opera with my boyfriend.
05:18He's training to be an opera singer.
05:20But I've never worn opera gloves.
05:22They're only for the expensive seats, I think.
05:26That's so realistic.
05:28I get it, you're one of those remote control robot mannequins, alright.
05:34So what's tricky about making these gloves?
05:36Well, we've asked them to do half a centimetre seam allowance.
05:40And it's fiddly, because it's small pieces.
05:43The thumb, that could be really tricky.
05:46And then in between each finger, we've got one long continuous gusset,
05:50that gets narrower at the top of the finger.
05:53So they've got to get the narrow points perfectly lined up,
05:56and they have to sew those long curving seams absolutely perfectly.
06:01You have to be really precise, and not rush it.
06:05I mean, we have deliberately made sure they have plenty of time
06:09to perfectly sew two gloves exactly the same.
06:13Great, well, I'll just turn this off.
06:18I think I've got a budget for that, but not the segway I wanted.
06:23I am going to try and take a bit more time than usual.
06:27With the cutting out, it's just a hard one to get perfect,
06:30when there's so many small curves and intricate bits.
06:34I'm expecting perfection and neatness,
06:36and I'm not necessarily always giving them that.
06:39So I'm going to really try.
06:41Each opera glove is made from just three pattern pieces.
06:44First, the thumb pieces are assembled and inserted
06:47into a circular opening in the glove pieces,
06:50creating a mirrored pair.
06:52Next, the gusset pieces are sewn into one side of each glove,
06:56starting from the little fingers, curving up and down,
06:59and finishing at the index fingers.
07:02The gloves are folded right-sides together,
07:04and the gusset pieces are stitched to the other side of the fingers.
07:08The tops of the index fingers are stitched closed,
07:11then, starting at the top of the little fingers,
07:14the side seams are sewn shut.
07:16The gloves are then turned right-side out,
07:18elastic is attached to the hems,
07:20and top-stitched in place for a snug fit.
07:24Hello. Good morning.
07:26Morning. How are we doing? All right.
07:28How are you doing? Good.
07:30I feel like a winner now, so whatever happens, I'll be here.
07:35Ailsa started sewing as a way to feel close to her mum,
07:38who she lost when she was 21.
07:41And after moving from her small village in the Highlands,
07:44she's immersed herself in Glasgow's creative scene,
07:47sewing clothes that express her identity.
07:50Ailsa's passionate about everything that she does,
07:53but I think the sewing is for her mum.
07:56Her mum, she could sew, she could paint.
07:59Definitely her huge inspiration.
08:01I don't think Ailsa's meant to sit behind a computer all day,
08:04so to see her do something that she loves,
08:07that she has a talent for, I couldn't be more proud.
08:11Yeah, so proud.
08:16Have you ever sewn such small seam allowance?
08:19Not that I can think of, but I'm trying to take a lot of care.
08:24Yeah, because you've got time.
08:26You're saying plenty of time. Are you lying to us?
08:28No, no, no, we genuinely believe you've got time.
08:31Three hours. OK.
08:33It's been extensively tested.
08:35Not for us numpties. No, no, we had numpties do it too.
08:38Good.
08:42So I'm just stitching the 0.5 seam allowance on the thumb.
08:46I'm going to put my machine on slow.
08:49Luke was calling it the Pasha speed the other day.
08:52Pasha's a technical wizard, and I think it's because
08:56she literally has the settings on the slowest speed.
09:00Maybe that is the key.
09:02I'm just going to see how it looks and actually put my thumb in it.
09:05Don't go over my thumbs.
09:07I think it's sabotage already.
09:09Why, you think because your hands are bigger it's harder to do it?
09:12Yeah. You're not making it for you, are you?
09:14That makes me really sad.
09:16I guess you could always make your own...
09:18Have an operation on my thumbs.
09:20An operation?
09:22The sewing skills Luke learnt from their grandma at 8 years old
09:25came into their own when they needed to create the wardrobe
09:28of their drag persona Selma Screams.
09:31And they've gone on to incorporate exciting elements
09:34and break gender boundaries in their everyday wear.
09:37When Luke started sewing I called it emergency sewing.
09:40It was something quick and ready to go.
09:42But through the years their technique has become more elevated and majestic.
09:47When I found out Luke had got through to the final
09:50I was shocked but not surprised.
09:53I can't even describe how proud I am.
09:55Like they say in Manchester, buzzing?
09:57Buzzing.
09:59Have you ever made gloves before?
10:01I've made quite a few pairs of gloves actually.
10:04But never with this gusset.
10:06It's normally just two flat bits with very stretchy fabric.
10:11I wear a lot of gloves in drag because it covers my hairy arms.
10:14You could shave them.
10:16I did that once and my fiancé was not very happy about it.
10:20Did you just stop there?
10:27I've got my thumbs. I'm just looking at how you put it in the hole.
10:31Is it like that?
10:33When I've done this before I've sewn my thumbs upside down
10:36or wrong sides out.
10:38So I want to make sure I'm getting those right.
10:40You're aiming for glove perfection today Luke.
10:42I'm trying. Do you?
10:44Yeah, 100% glove perfection.
10:46This is probably the fiddliest sewing I've ever done in my life.
10:50It's difficult being on a small scale and it's difficult with the lace.
10:54You can appease me to choose a lace.
10:56Is the lace hard?
10:58I can't express how difficult it is.
11:02So delicate.
11:04It's like working in the library.
11:10How's that going then?
11:12I have some regrets.
11:14My fabric. It's very delicate and hard to even see where it actually is.
11:20Hard to see is tough actually.
11:22But you know, no risk no reward. It's a final.
11:24Exactly. Go big or go home.
11:26Yes.
11:28Pasha started sewing four years ago
11:30and a recently discovered love of historical fashion
11:33has helped her become the precise sewer she is today.
11:36Pasha's really passionate about sewing.
11:38I think our first indication was when she made a whole outfit for the tooth fairy
11:44and she was about to fall out of paper.
11:46We kind of looked at each other and said
11:48hmm, she's quite creative, isn't she?
11:51When we found out that Pasha had got onto the sewing bee
11:53we were all just so excited.
11:55I think it's just a testament to her passion and determination.
11:58If she were to win it would just be
12:00the cherry on the top of the icing on the cake.
12:04Oh gosh, that's not good.
12:06Accidently just sewed my thumb up.
12:08This feels like a pretty operatic moment
12:10because it is rather dramatic
12:12and they'd love a bit of drama in an opera.
12:15There's one thumb.
12:17They may have one inserted.
12:19That's not going to fit on me but I think it's correct.
12:21But the thumb wars are not over yet.
12:24I'm now inserting thumb number two.
12:27And to create a mirrored pair
12:29they will need to ensure they set the thumb into the opposite side.
12:33Doing the thumb the second time
12:35I hopefully have a little bit more of an idea of what to do.
12:38I think we're all just doing our best
12:40and this is very difficult.
12:42I literally feel like I'm doing a surgery.
12:44Halfway through. Sewers you are halfway through.
12:46Wow.
12:50Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with these.
12:52Oh my god, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
12:54What have we done?
12:56I just sewed the thumb in pointing down.
12:58Can you put your finger in it?
13:00No, that's physiologically impossible.
13:02The thumb goes that way.
13:04Oh pal.
13:06Just double check that both my gloves are different.
13:09Oh lordy.
13:11It's also the wrong way round
13:13because I can't have two matching gloves.
13:15I need to make a right glove and a left glove.
13:22Oh, I'm just going to get my thumb.
13:34Next step is gussets.
13:36This gusset piece is connected the whole way along.
13:38So it's actually quite tricky.
13:40It's going to go like...
13:44I tried to just knock gussets together last week
13:46and it didn't really go in my favour.
13:48Right.
13:50So we're trying to be a little bit more exact.
13:52Before I learn what gussets were,
13:54if I heard someone say,
13:56knock gussets together,
13:58I'd probably think you wouldn't be allowed to say that on TV.
14:00But now I know.
14:02I'm learning.
14:04At the moment I'm just cutting out my gusset.
14:07I'm going to carry on with both gloves
14:09as if everything is completely normal.
14:11And then the last thing I do is going to be
14:13turn that thumb around.
14:15I've just got to move on.
14:17I've got to move on.
14:19It's fine. I can do this.
14:21There is a marking on the pinky finger
14:23where this starts.
14:25And I need to keep going along the edge of the fingers.
14:27Sewing any curved seam is a test of skill.
14:29I think the key for going around the corners
14:31is going uber slow.
14:33And with four fingers to navigate...
14:35I'm pivoting this around
14:37but I'm keeping the needle down.
14:39They'll have to work with total precision
14:41Pivot...
14:43to avoid any tucks or holes.
14:45I'm not the neatest sewer
14:47but tweezers help to keep stuff in the places
14:49that they need to be in.
14:51I don't know if there's a harder thing that I've sewn actually.
14:53Ever, ever.
14:55It's the final. They're testing you.
14:57It feels it. It really feels it.
14:59One hour left!
15:01What?
15:03One hour?
15:05£16, yeah.
15:07So I've flipped over and I'm just
15:09attaching the gusset
15:11to the remaining side of the glove.
15:13As the second half of the gusset is attached...
15:15I'm starting to get some fingers
15:17which is a surprise.
15:19Sticking rigidly to the 0.5cm seam allowance
15:21is critical.
15:23This seam allowance is just ridiculous.
15:25It's so small.
15:27As even a tiny deviation...
15:29The black is making it so difficult
15:32to see any kind of stitching.
15:34...could alter the fit of the fingers.
15:36There's such a riot.
15:38Everything's so fiddly.
15:40So I've just done
15:42the little finger of my glove
15:44so I'm basically going to continue
15:46all the way down the side seam
15:48and hopefully start to have something
15:50that resembles a glove.
15:52But once the side seams are sewn...
15:54The side seam is a breeze.
15:56...and the hem elasticated...
15:58Turn over the edge twice to conceal the elastic
16:00To get the perfect pair the judges are expecting...
16:04They need to do it all over again.
16:08Half an hour left, sewers.
16:10You have 30 minutes.
16:12Woah.
16:16I've just finished that first glove
16:18and now I'm moving on to the tragedy
16:20that is my second.
16:22I want to get the gusset under.
16:24I'm not going to change the thumb hole.
16:26I don't have time.
16:280.5 seam allowance feels like a distant memory.
16:30I can hear Elsa worrying
16:32and I kind of want to tell her, like,
16:34don't worry, mine's worse.
16:36Whoever tries this on has one thumb facing backwards.
16:38I'm going to have to go faster.
16:40This is stressing me out.
16:42I've not been nearly as careful as the last one.
16:44It's amazing how glove perfection
16:46can turn to just get it done.
16:48I have arguably created one of the least wearable gloves
16:50in existence.
16:52In a strange way I think this is maybe
16:54the challenge I've been proudest of
16:57My mum and dad would be proud of me.
16:59Would you wear them to an opera?
17:01I wouldn't personally.
17:03Because of all the snacks I would have snuck in.
17:05They'd just get dirty.
17:07You're not really allowed snacks at the opera.
17:09They check.
17:11You don't know where I'm hiding them.
17:13So the elastic is in.
17:15The last bit was just trying to get these fingers through.
17:17Bad glove!
17:19Why is your thumb the wrong way round?
17:21Genuinely don't know how to get that back through.
17:23I've come up with a genius tactic
17:25of putting my tweezers in and tweezing the end
17:27and then pulling it out.
17:29I haven't been able to get the fingers through the right way.
17:31You've managed to do the middle finger.
17:33Is that a statement?
17:35Yeah. I'm writing my feelings towards these gloves.
17:37I'm pleased with these.
17:39There's a few little tucks here and there.
17:41So I'm going to go back in and fix.
17:43Five minutes left.
17:45I'm just going to patch up some holes.
17:47I've just decided to hand sew
17:49one little hole I found.
17:51The shape are a little bit thin.
17:53It's been so difficult to try and keep
17:55that 0.5 seam allowance.
17:57We don't talk about the thumb.
17:59One minute left.
18:01Get your gloves on stance.
18:03There's something not quite right there.
18:05Moving on.
18:07Needles up, sewers.
18:09You've completed your last ever pattern challenge.
18:11Wow. Look at those fingers.
18:13It's alright, Elsa.
18:15My thumb's the wrong way round.
18:17My pinky finger looks like this.
18:19Yee-dee-go-round.
18:22Yee-dee-go-round.
18:30Three pairs of opera gloves
18:32sewn in just three hours.
18:34Bravo, sewers. I'm gloving this.
18:36Pretty handy, aren't they?
18:38So for this, we'll need an extra pair of hands.
18:40So please welcome Kit.
18:42Oh, dear.
18:46Elsa's first.
18:48Okay, good luck
18:50Look at those pinky fingers.
18:56They're going to be so tight.
19:10I do like the look of the fabric,
19:12but they don't fit.
19:14You've just taken
19:16far too much out of the seam allowance.
19:18So we've got tiny little fingers.
19:20Oh.
19:22That is tiny.
19:24Wow.
19:26The right hand is a little bit bigger.
19:28The elastic is very good.
19:30The thumb is well-oriented
19:32and very well-inserted.
19:34But we don't have identical gloves.
19:44I do like the fabric.
19:47They're quite glamorous, aren't they?
19:49And they do fit pretty well.
19:51I think the spots work really nicely.
19:53They look very elegant.
19:55And I think the quality
19:57of the construction is actually pretty good.
19:59Let's look at the gussets.
20:01They're all in very nicely.
20:03Is that a hand stitch I see there?
20:05No.
20:07Yes, it is.
20:09We've got a couple of hand tacks just holding together
20:11what I suspect may have been a little hole.
20:13But they are a pretty good pair.
20:17This one might just have to wait a minute.
20:29Oh, no.
20:31That sounded like a rip.
20:37The thumb is upside down.
20:39And we've got a hole.
20:43Let's look at the other one.
20:45And we've got a hole here as well.
20:47The lace, you've got some areas
20:49where we've got just the net
20:51that are weaker and she's torn them.
20:53I don't think these holes were there
20:55before they went on.
20:57But you have to be able to put on a pair of gloves.
20:59It's a difficult fabric
21:01and you've not sewn these too badly.
21:03The hem is staying up pretty well.
21:05I was just wondering
21:07if it's the same gloves.
21:09Yeah, I sewed that thumb
21:11not only upside down but also inside out.
21:14Maybe the better thing to have done
21:16would have just been to take the thumb out altogether
21:18because then at least you could have got a hand
21:20in to see it.
21:22But well done for persevering.
21:24We all make mistakes.
21:26That's just a glaring one, sadly.
21:28The judges will now decide
21:30who has hit the high note
21:32and who has fallen flat.
21:34Third place is Pasha.
21:36We had two left-hand gloves
21:38and one upside-down thumb.
21:40In second place, Elsa.
21:42Kit could hardly get her fingers in.
21:44So in first place...
21:46Luke.
21:48Well done!
21:50Very, very well sewn.
21:52Lovely choice of fabric.
21:54Congratulations, sewers.
21:56You have completed your last ever pattern challenge.
21:58And I hope you got your drinks in before the interval
22:00otherwise there's a 45-minute wait.
22:02Hands up, baby, hands up.
22:04I think that's the best way to start the finals.
22:06Yeah, I'm really happy with them.
22:08I thought you both were smashing that.
22:10I've never seen a hand before.
22:12That was so hard.
22:14Those pinky fingers were downright creepy-looking.
22:16Are you going to make gloves again?
22:18Give me six months.
22:20I never actually can last in a challenge before.
22:22It can't get worse.
22:24I still had a good time.
22:26So I'm going to have fun in the transformation too.
22:32Welcome back, sewers.
22:34It's time for the transformation challenge.
22:36I've done a bit of transforming over the course of this series.
22:39I've learnt so much.
22:41I used to think that crochet was a type of pastry.
22:43Pastry? Wrong topic.
22:45Patrick, what have you got for us?
22:47Right then, you party animals.
22:53We're giving you party paraphernalia.
22:55And we'd like you to make
22:57a fun but wearable
22:59party outfit.
23:01You've got party decorations on the table.
23:03You can use whatever haberdashery you want.
23:05But no extra fabric.
23:07Now, this is judge blind.
23:09So the judges are off to help load up my car.
23:11I've got a lot of shoes.
23:13And I also get to take everything that you've made.
23:15Good luck.
23:17You have an hour and a half.
23:19And your time starts now.
23:21Right, let's do this.
23:23Oh, my days.
23:27What are you doing?
23:29Pasha.
23:31This is giving me Christmas lights energy.
23:33I'm excited.
23:35I think this will be a really fun one.
23:37I love partying.
23:39Having a theme.
23:41Lots of Shania Twain songs going on.
23:43I've had a fair few parties.
23:45Do I want to talk about them
23:47on national TV?
23:49No.
23:53Well, it's party time, isn't it?
23:55We've given them paper napkins,
23:57disposable tablecloths,
23:59there's bunting, there's crepe streamers.
24:02We want interesting ideas
24:04using the fun colour and the texture
24:06of these items.
24:08It's got to be eye-catching.
24:10It's got to be fun.
24:12But also wearable.
24:14We do need to be able to get in and out of it.
24:16I wonder what they'll do with these.
24:18I know what you're going to do with those.
24:20I'm going to turn them into a skirt.
24:22That's not what I thought you were going to do with them.
24:24Did you think that's what I was going to do?
24:26Yes, that's exactly what I thought you were going to do with them.
24:28I want to drape a one-shoulder dress
24:30with the spangly curtain over.
24:32It would be quite nice to redeem myself,
24:34but these materials are going to be
24:36really hard to actually sew.
24:38Oh, I just ripped it.
24:40I need to find a different approach to this.
24:42I kind of thought about
24:44maybe making a kind of tassel dress.
24:46Layering bunting
24:48around the body, if there's any way
24:50it will cover all of the areas
24:52if I wrap it tightly enough.
24:54Hello!
24:56What's happening?
24:58I've set up some napkins.
25:00Napkins?
25:02So I'm going to make my own fabric to drape with.
25:04Hope you don't spill anything on it.
25:06That tablecloth will be so much nicer to sew with.
25:08It's a very different texture.
25:10Almost fabric-y.
25:12I'm going to go for this tablecloth.
25:14I can't do another bad material mistake.
25:16What do you think so far?
25:18I think you've wrapped some bunting around the mannequin.
25:20And it looks exactly like a chic party dress.
25:22Yeah.
25:25Thank you so much for coming.
25:27Everyone okay?
25:29Halfway through!
25:31Sewers, you are halfway through!
25:33Sorry, did you say you wanted a drink?
25:35This is quite stressful.
25:41To become the talk of the party
25:43This is starting to look more like a dress.
25:45the sewers will need to consider both fun
25:47I like the colours and I like the shape.
25:49and functionality.
25:51The judges will be wanting us to
25:53think about getting in and out of this.
25:55So I'm just stitching in a zip.
25:57But it's certainly unconventional.
25:59I'm sewing a zip into the mannequin.
26:01I'm going to use velcro
26:03at the side seams, I think.
26:05I have twirled this
26:07over and over and over.
26:09I need to think about how I'm going to
26:11fashion this into a wearable garment.
26:13I don't know what to do.
26:23Half an hour left!
26:25You've got half an hour!
26:27What was I saying?
26:29I'm currently attaching
26:31my sparkly curtain.
26:33I'm hoping it will start to make
26:35this into a party dress.
26:37I'm thinking of adding a bow on the back.
26:39I'm just going to make it really 3D.
26:41But while Luke and Pasha focus on flourishes
26:43Party animal!
26:45Elsa is still trying to fathom a fastening.
26:47I am hand sewing
26:49this top
26:52so that I can take it off
26:54the mannequin without it
26:56losing its shape.
26:58This is like giving your parents a haircut in lockdown.
27:00Except it's going to be seen on national TV
27:02rather than Zoom.
27:0410 minutes left!
27:06I'm just trying to add some ribbons
27:08to fashion some kind of tie.
27:10I'm going to try and attach this fan
27:12just to help with the 3D-ness.
27:14I'm creating dangly bits
27:16with this streamer just because I thought
27:18if we're going for dangle, we're going for dangle.
27:20This is a bit of a big booty dress
27:22but I think it needs something else on the front
27:24so it's not just party at the back.
27:26That top feels
27:28like it's all attached
27:30but the skirt fastening
27:32is completely baffling me right now.
27:34Is that a zip?
27:36How have you got a zip in paper?
27:38Oh God!
27:40Five minutes left, sewers! You have five minutes!
27:42This is madness.
27:44Can I ruffle in five minutes?
27:46Come with me so you can trim.
27:48What's going on over there?
27:50I feel like a crazy lady. Maybe I am a crazy lady.
27:52How's she doing?
27:54She doesn't really look that much different.
27:56Do you think this is an all-night outfit?
27:58Yeah, because once you're in, you can't get out of it.
28:00I see.
28:02I just wanted that effect of loads and loads of necklaces.
28:04Where's that going?
28:06I don't know, maybe up here.
28:08The fact that you can't get in and out of it
28:10is not great but all the layering is fun.
28:12I think it gives me
28:14a weirdly 1920s vibe.
28:17Needles up, sewers!
28:19That's your time!
28:21Holy moly!
28:23Bring your mannequins forward.
28:25The police are on their way.
28:27The fashion police?
28:29Hi, the party's just here.
28:31Thank you.
28:40A plethora of party paraphernalia
28:42transformed into outfits
28:44in just 90 minutes.
28:46Judges, want to come to my party?
28:48And the judges have no idea
28:50whose is whose.
28:52Somebody's gone to town.
28:54And come back with a load of fun-looking party stuff.
29:01There's a whole load of
29:03engineering that's gone into these different pieces.
29:05The whole thing is sewn
29:07out of party napkins.
29:09That's quite a lot of work, sewing all those.
29:11We've got this great big
29:13bowed bustle. I think it's fun.
29:15It is fun.
29:17There's a zip down the back.
29:19Oh!
29:21Shall we put that back
29:23and pretend that didn't happen?
29:31So we've got layers and layers
29:33of bunting. I love the colours.
29:35I think the effect of it works
29:37fantastically well as a party outfit.
29:39But this is all wrapped round
29:41so I'm not sure how
29:44someone would get into this.
29:46We've got a ribbon and a tie on the top
29:48but I think the bottom you just pirouette
29:50until you've wound yourself up.
29:52So we need someone to do that for us.
29:54That's part of the fun.
29:56But I live on my own.
29:58I could get the neighbour in.
30:07I really like this
30:09because I love a bit of sparkle.
30:11It's really, really fun.
30:13This is going to be a bit like a flapper dress.
30:15We've got these streamers hanging down
30:17and it's got velcro
30:19so that's how we get into it.
30:21It definitely looks wearable.
30:23I couldn't wear it.
30:25Well you could just tuck some of the tassels in your socks.
30:27That's a good idea.
30:29You will go to the ball.
30:31The judges must now decide whose outfit
30:33is the life and soul of the party
30:35and whose is the party pooper.
30:37In third place is
30:39the top and skirt in the bunting.
30:41That's Elsa.
30:43We really loved the colours
30:45but how did you get into it?
30:47With great difficulty.
30:49In second place is
30:53the pastel napkin dress.
30:55That's Luke.
30:57Again, we loved it.
30:59Lots and lots of clever thoughts gone into it.
31:01We've seen how delicate it is, haven't we?
31:03Yes.
31:05That's how you get out of it.
31:07So in first place
31:10the glittery silver dress.
31:12That's Pasha.
31:14We loved the impact.
31:16Also, you can get into it.
31:18Thank you.
31:20I'm really happy.
31:22Esme and I are both drawn
31:24to a little bit of sparkle
31:26and I think that worked in my favour.
31:28I'm a little bit concerned
31:30because Luke won something this morning
31:32and then Pasha won this afternoon
31:34but I'm still trying to stay positive.
31:36First and second in the final is amazing.
31:38I just want to repeat it all again tomorrow.
31:52There's just one challenge left
31:54for the sewers to prove
31:56that they're a worthy winner
31:58of this year's Great British Sewing Bee.
32:00We have, what, ten weeks to practice?
32:02I think ten weeks is a bit much.
32:04Just a few more weeks.
32:06So how's it all going?
32:08Well, I think the first challenge
32:10proved interesting
32:12and really only Luke got it spot on.
32:14So how did you feel about the transformation?
32:16I loved them all
32:18but we asked for fun and wearable
32:20and Elsa's was wearable once
32:22but you'd have to wrap yourself into it
32:24and then Pasha absolutely smashed it.
32:26Yes, very party
32:28and you could get into it easily.
32:30What does that mean,
32:32going into the made-to-measure?
32:35Luke and Pasha are marginally in front
32:37but I wouldn't say there was a huge amount in it.
32:39No, in fact I'm quite excited
32:41to see what they've come up with.
32:43I think it could be anyone.
32:45Have you considered the wild card?
32:49No, alright, it's fine.
32:55For their very last challenge,
32:57the finalists have all chosen close friends
32:59to be their models.
33:01Pasha is sewing for her high school bestie, Romy.
33:03Luke for their partner in crime
33:05on the Manchester queer scene, Jake.
33:09You look amazing.
33:11And Elsa for one of her gang in Glasgow, Thomas.
33:13How are you?
33:15Are you ready to be a model?
33:19Welcome back sewers
33:21and an extra special hello to your models.
33:23For your last ever made-to-measure,
33:25the judges have asked you to make an evening outfit.
33:27However, instead of starting
33:29from a pattern,
33:32you're going to drape your design during the challenge.
33:34So, focus, pull yourself together.
33:36That's a current reference
33:38because drapes are kind of like hearns.
33:40You have five and a half hours
33:42and your time starts now.
33:44Right, it's go time.
33:46It's intense, I feel nervous for you.
33:48The sewers have had time to plan
33:50and design their evening wear at home.
33:52What sort of evening event
33:54do you envision this for, Pasha?
33:56Red carpet.
33:58But for the first time in ten years of made-to-measures...
34:00What the hell am I going to start doing now?
34:02Start draping.
34:04It needs to be fully draped in the sewing room.
34:06I don't know draping, so I have no idea what I'm doing.
34:08And to help get the perfect fit...
34:10See, that's my body.
34:12That's your body?
34:14They've each been provided with a mannequin.
34:16How had I done this before?
34:18The exact same size as their models.
34:20This is weird. I feel like I'm just driving a pin into your heart.
34:22In a lot of the transformations,
34:24I've been trying to do some draping.
34:26So the fact that we can do this
34:28in made-to-measures... Wild!
34:30So what is draping?
34:32Well, normally, when you're
34:34making a garment, you would start
34:36with a pattern. But draping,
34:38you're working on the stand.
34:40So you have a play with the fabric.
34:42And turn 2D to 3D.
34:44What they can use
34:46is tape as a guide,
34:48which shows you where the edges
34:50of the garment is going to be.
34:52And then make a toile in calico,
34:54and then use that calico piece
34:57for cutting out their final fabric.
34:59What they might also do
35:01is make a simpler understructure
35:03and then put more elaborate draped shapes
35:05over the top of that.
35:07So with it being the final, what are you expecting?
35:09I'm hoping for something
35:11exciting and well-fitted.
35:13This is evening wear.
35:15I want to see fantastic fabrics
35:17and interesting elements
35:19in the draping
35:21that demonstrate that they understand the technique
35:23and know how to use it.
35:25It's mad that already I can see
35:27where this is going. I'm so excited.
35:29All of the finalists have started
35:31by drafting the more fitted top half
35:33of their evening wear.
35:35Creating this kind of base shape
35:37for the waistcoat top.
35:39What I'll do is I'll make this how I like it
35:41with some calico, just so I've got that shape.
35:43The shape that I've made on the mannequin
35:45I'm going to use as the pattern piece
35:47for the black.
35:49So you just copy the piece?
35:51Yeah. Hello. Hello. How are you getting on?
35:53I'm feeling really excited for this one
35:55because I've done quite a bit of draping before.
35:57I've actually done quite a lot in the transformations
35:59but you tend to rip and destroy them.
36:01Tell us what you're doing.
36:03So I have
36:05a sketch here.
36:07So we're going for half a draped
36:09tailored blazer
36:11and then see-through glam moment
36:13on the other side.
36:15And then I'm going to do a big skirt
36:17with lots of tulle over the top.
36:19I just really like that interplay of
36:22structured and flowy, mass-confirmed.
36:24It's ambitious, isn't it?
36:26Oh, it is, isn't it?
36:28Luke's fitted half blazer
36:30featuring an oversized lapel
36:32and two prominent button pleats
36:34will sit in contrast to a voluminous
36:36faux silk skirt adorned with tulle ruffles.
36:38An angled zip
36:40will provide access for best friend Jake.
36:42How does it feel
36:44to be here
36:46being Luke's model?
36:48It feels right. I had all the faith.
36:50Do you watch Zoey Babysuit?
36:52I'm a super fan.
36:54Esme, you're a gay icon.
36:56I hope you know that.
36:58I do, actually.
37:00I heard you made something for Cher.
37:02I mean, come on.
37:04Sorry, Patrick.
37:06You are obviously just the eye candy of the show.
37:08You've got that, so it's all good.
37:10And Luke's model won't be the only one
37:12rocking an asymmetric look on the catwalk.
37:14So this is going to be
37:16a one-shouldered waistcoat, essentially.
37:18But it's got kind of an asymmetric point.
37:20Then on top, I'm going to do
37:22tons of pleating, so it's
37:24kind of contemporary.
37:26Else's pleated waistcoat will be paired with a kilt-style
37:28skirt and attached at the shoulder
37:30via a leather kilt buckle.
37:32There will be even more tartan
37:34in the form of a draped traditional plaid.
37:36What tartan is this?
37:38The Cloud of Harris, ancient.
37:40Nice, isn't it? Thanks, it was my grandad's.
37:42It was his tartan?
37:44Yes, my grandad would have been very proud.
37:47He did like putting his kilt on.
37:49This is so hard.
37:51I've never done a draped sleeve in my life.
37:53It looks like a sleeve to me.
37:55I think this challenge for everyone
37:57has presented difficulties
37:59because we aren't able
38:01to use patterns,
38:03but it's a really great opportunity to
38:05feel more like a designer.
38:07But Pasha's plan...
38:09This is a kind of under-bodice,
38:11and this is going to form the base of my dress.
38:13...means her inner designer will have to wait a while.
38:15I'm really looking forward to getting this bodice done
38:17so I can get on to the meat of the dress.
38:19This was my calico
38:21that I made at home.
38:23Hopefully it should have big draped shoulders
38:25and pleating across.
38:27The pleats that will adorn Pasha's
38:29pink taffeta bodice will be echoed
38:31at the hips and waist.
38:33At the back, she will hide her zip fastening
38:35so that all the attention is on the dramatic
38:37floor-length skirt.
38:39Are you going to wear it to anywhere special?
38:41Well, I asked Pasha what she was making it for
38:44and she said only suitable for the red carpet
38:46so I've had to get my acting skills up.
38:48Oh, right. Have you got any acting skills?
38:50Not yet. Something I'm working on.
38:52It's easy. You just turn up and say some stuff
38:54and then you do it again 15 times. Go on.
38:58So I'm now cutting my blazer
39:00in the actual fabric.
39:02This is some quite heavy duchess satin.
39:04The waistcoat is going to have a lot of draped pleats
39:06so it's something a little bit different.
39:08Things feel like they're coming along
39:10slower than they should.
39:12I'm keen to get this bodice right so it stays up.
39:14I'm starting to sew
39:16which makes me happy.
39:18You can tell that you've been doing this a lot
39:20because you're a lot quicker than you were
39:22before you are going for it.
39:24I have got a reputation for being so slow
39:26that the slow setting on the machine
39:28is now officially called the Pasha speed.
39:30Do you think you'll get everything done in time?
39:32Don't ask me questions like that.
39:42I'll miss this place.
39:44Halfway through! Sew as you are halfway through.
39:50So I am sewing directly
39:52on top of these pleats.
39:54It kind of creates dips
39:56and kind of valleys which I just love.
39:58So I'm just going to insert my sleeve
40:00into the blazer but
40:02I feel like I spent so long making
40:04a little top.
40:06I'm putting my first pleats in.
40:08I'm not feeling fabulous
40:10about the fact that I'm halfway through
40:12my time.
40:14As Pasha's top finally gets its shapely shoulders
40:16Okay, nice.
40:18Luke and Ailsa
40:20are starting their skirts.
40:22I'm going to cut this tall into strips
40:24and then sew it onto
40:26the outer layer.
40:28This is exciting.
40:30It's the final.
40:32What would it mean to win?
40:34I don't think I can even comprehend that.
40:36My little brain and heart
40:39would completely explode.
40:41What would it mean to you if I won?
40:43The world.
40:45I have said that to everyone.
40:47Bye!
40:49I'm pretty happy with those pleats
40:51but I'm feeling the need to
40:53pick up the pace even more.
40:55Perfecting pleats is time consuming work
40:57I'm going to be here for a while.
40:59But it's reams of ruffles
41:01that are slowing Luke down.
41:03I think this is the first challenge
41:05that I've ever felt super super behind
41:07because I've still got quite a lot to do
41:09so I know I'm not going to necessarily
41:11be able to do as many ruffles
41:13as I wanted to add on.
41:15If I mess up with this fabric
41:17I'll be an embarrassment to the nation.
41:19That's alright.
41:21How many people are there in Scotland?
41:23I don't know but I was hoping for some of the good ones
41:25to message me after this and be like
41:27you're an inspiration to me.
41:29Who could message me?
41:31Billy Connolly.
41:33I could just message him now.
41:35One hour left
41:37Sewers you have one hour.
41:39Oh lord.
41:41I've got so much to do.
41:43I really like working at the Tactor
41:45but it feels so sad having to work
41:47with it so quickly.
41:49I've got my first layer on
41:51I'm just going to try and get another one on.
41:53If I had all the time in the world
41:55I'd be putting more netting and gathering on
41:57but I know I need to get
41:59the other side of a top done.
42:01I feel like I'm going to be like
42:04How are you getting on?
42:06I could do with speeding up a little bit
42:08because there's not an awful lot going on
42:10in the back right now.
42:12How do we get into it?
42:14There's going to be a zip.
42:16I'll let you get on.
42:18Just marking where it'll close
42:20there'll be buckles here
42:22here and here.
42:24It's definitely reflecting your shoes.
42:26The waistcoat looks interesting.
42:28Yes. The only thing I'm worried about
42:30is how the pleats
42:32don't look on the bottom.
42:34I think one side will be okay
42:36but I'm not sure about the other.
42:38I'm not feeling great.
42:40As always I think I just put too much in my plan.
42:42It has a lot to do.
42:44They've got the half jacket made
42:46the skirt is done but they've only got
42:48a couple of layers of ruffles on it
42:50and they intend to put a zip down the centre back
42:52but at the moment half of the zip
42:54has nothing to attach to.
42:56Oh my god. Yours is so like
42:58an actual garment. I'm so behind.
43:00Pasha. She's been pleating
43:02and now
43:04she's attaching
43:06the skirt but
43:08she hasn't got her zip in.
43:10Will she have time? I don't know.
43:12I really wanted to have a massive
43:14skirt at the back but I'm not sure
43:16how much time I have to make that happen.
43:1830 minutes left.
43:20So as you have half an hour.
43:22My foot is all the way down
43:24right now.
43:26The skirt is pretty much done
43:29I've overlocked the bodice to
43:31the skirt and just
43:33quickly drafting a back piece.
43:35Just want to make sure I've got enough time to put the zip in.
43:37It's starting to look like a dress which is a relief
43:39but I'm going to get a zip in and then I'm going to worry about
43:41making the nice skirt happen.
43:43Once I've got my zip in everything will be
43:45completely joined together so it's really
43:47important that I get this zip right.
43:49I don't think this is my best work
43:51but I've got to keep going.
43:53I can't get the zip to go up.
43:55It's definitely
43:57stuck on something.
43:59It needs to be so much tighter at the top.
44:01I don't know what's wrong.
44:0310 minutes left.
44:05Oh.
44:07Romy I wish so badly I could put you to work right now.
44:09We are getting there I'm just attaching
44:11the buckles.
44:13I need to tighten the zip at the top.
44:15It's too loose.
44:17I don't know what was getting caught but it's gone up now
44:19so I just need to finish off this top bit.
44:21I'm now just going to sew up the bottom of the skirt as quickly as I can.
44:23I don't have any more time to faff
44:25I forgot to call it a day.
44:27You weren't joking about those 8 inches.
44:29The shoes.
44:31What's going on?
44:33Just attaching the blazer piece.
44:35You happy?
44:37Love it.
44:39Have you done a catwalk before?
44:41Life's a catwalk.
44:43I need to remember that every time I leave my house.
44:45Does that cover your decency?
44:47Hit and miss.
44:49How are we doing on the time front?
44:515 minutes left.
44:54I want to cover her rear end in the last few minutes.
44:56I'm just going to try and make sure
44:58this waistcoat's got as much
45:00structure as possible.
45:02This is a bit of spray starch.
45:04It helps make the fabric really crispy.
45:06I'm going to sew up the buttons on.
45:08I think the judges will be able to see
45:10what I was hoping to achieve.
45:12The skirt's not going to be as big as I want it.
45:14I'll love you just as much
45:16even if this falls off of me in the middle of the catwalk.
45:18That's lucky.
45:20So I want to attach this plaid
45:22that sits like this.
45:24I'm just doing my best to hide my raw edges.
45:26One minute left.
45:28I am in speed zone for my life.
45:30I wanted the skirt all ruffle
45:32but I think it's come together.
45:34There's a lot of work that's gone into this.
45:36Should we get it on?
45:38The exploring was my granda's.
45:40I love you.
45:42I love you too.
45:44I really wanted to tack that there
45:46but I didn't get the chance to.
45:48You know what? I tried my best
45:51I should deliver the next question.
45:53Needles up sewers.
45:55You have completed your last ever made to measure.
45:59I'm really pleased.
46:01I don't know why.
46:03You've done amazingly.
46:05I'm so proud of you.
46:07I'm so lucky to be your friend
46:09to get to wear this dress.
46:20From head to toe.
46:22Pretend that it's all real.
46:26Three dramatic drape designs
46:28in just five and a half hours.
46:30This will be someone else's dream.
46:32This will be someone else's dream.
46:34This will be someone else's dream.
46:36Forever and ever.
46:38Never gave in.
46:40I think it's very dramatic.
46:42It takes it's cues obviously
46:44from a well established
46:46Scottish evening wear tradition
46:48and I like the way you've attempted
46:50to bring something new and interesting.
46:52You've taken what was the flat part
46:54of the waistcoat
46:56and you've put the pleats from the kilt
46:58into the waistcoat
47:00and then we've got this very dramatic
47:02shepherd's plaid
47:04draped across the back.
47:06I think it looks fabulous
47:08and you've taken the kilt buckle
47:10to connect the two in a way that I find
47:12very, very interesting.
47:14I love this tartan
47:16but this pleating doesn't look too bad.
47:18Where I feel it
47:20falls down a tiny bit
47:22is that the shape on the front
47:24is somewhat confused by all the pleating.
47:26It's not clear to me
47:28what shape you're making
47:30because we've got a kind of unclear edge.
47:32But it's a
47:34really strong look
47:36and it really expresses who you are
47:38which I think is great.
47:40Are you going to do the Gay Gordons?
47:42Well I was going to do a Henry Wynne joke.
47:44Everybody a story
47:46and everybody goes
47:50Everybody a story
47:52and nobody goes
47:58Both the colour
48:00and the silhouette
48:02are really, really striking.
48:04The fit is good and I do like
48:06the pleating over the sleeves.
48:08There are a couple
48:10of things that don't work quite so well
48:12on the front. Where you've pleated
48:14this middle section, it's a little bit
48:16untidy and I think the skirt
48:18it almost feels too symmetrical
48:20like we're looking at two bits
48:22down the other side whereas nothing else on the dress
48:24is symmetrical.
48:26I love the colour
48:28and I think you chose a good fabric
48:30but it's very,
48:32very short.
48:34Yeah, that bit should have been
48:36tacked down but I didn't have time for that.
48:38And there's something strange
48:40going on here.
48:42Yeah, that whole thing
48:44wasn't as I wanted.
48:46The suit is quite well put in
48:48but the waist seam isn't lining up.
48:50But you really draped it
48:52and did you have fun?
48:54I did. It was completely new to me
48:56and will you do it again?
48:58Oh definitely, definitely. With a bit more time.
49:10Do you want me to come down?
49:12I can curse at you.
49:14Yeah, please do.
49:16I think you've done
49:18a great job. I love
49:20these pleats
49:22and I do think it's
49:24got real impact.
49:26You showed us a drawing
49:28that was elements of that
49:30masculine tailored coat
49:32merged into a
49:34masculine tailored dress.
49:36I think it's a great
49:38masculine tailored coat
49:40merged into a sort of traditionally feminine
49:42silhouette and
49:44you've delivered on it pretty much
49:46near to perfection.
49:48The half jacket is
49:50really brilliantly done.
49:52The shape of the sleeve is lovely.
49:54This huge lapel echoes the point on the front
49:56and the two buttons on the two pleats
49:58is perfection.
50:00But the back, it doesn't fit
50:02brilliantly. It's a little bit gapey there.
50:04The zip's put in
50:06at an angle and it's pretty well put in
50:08actually. That must have been
50:10quite difficult. It was the blur.
50:12I don't remember putting it in.
50:14And you got it finished.
50:16I know we haven't got all the
50:18layers, but I don't mind
50:20that we haven't got all the frills.
50:22And I love this fabric.
50:24Have you got any left? There's loads left.
50:26You can have it. Well, I might make myself
50:28something out of it.
50:30I'm really happy with that final
50:32garment. Well done. I tried to
50:34break those gender-conforming
50:36barriers in terms of fashion and I'm really
50:38proud of it. That design was
50:40influenced by the tartan my granddad wore.
50:42I wouldn't be sewing if it wasn't for my mum.
50:44It just
50:46felt like a really big
50:48and special thing to do
50:50for the end of his experience.
50:52Oh, that's too much.
50:54I can't believe it's over.
50:56Well done. Finished.
50:58It was so
51:00lovely seeing all those things. I loved
51:02having Romy with me and
51:04looking forward to seeing my mum and dad.
51:14While Luke, Elsa and Pasha
51:16await the final decision,
51:18the sewing bee has
51:20opened its doors to their friends and family
51:22and a few
51:24familiar faces.
51:26That is fit. They have
51:28absolutely smashed the final. I'm so proud
51:30of all of them. Oh, man.
51:32I have no idea
51:34who's going to win. I'm blown away.
51:36I would like the youngest
51:38person to win, Pasha.
51:40She definitely shone. I can't get over
51:42how she engineered that head.
51:44It's just absolutely brilliant to see the
51:46combination of all the hard work and
51:48excitement. So proud of her.
51:50I think they all deserve to be in the final.
51:52Elsa's garments
51:54are just so imaginative
51:56and creative. The one for
51:58the final is just
52:00amazing because it was for my dad.
52:02Oh, come here.
52:04I can't even
52:06speak. I'm so proud of it.
52:08It's amazing. That's insane.
52:10I love them all but Luke's
52:12insanely talented to have draped
52:14that, took my breath away. Isn't that as my wedding dress?
52:16Yeah.
52:18Luke's so determined and so creative
52:20to see it all now. It's like, wow.
52:22I've got kind of goosebumps.
52:24So how do they get on?
52:26The final. Well, I think it's been
52:28pretty spectacular and
52:30we've got three very
52:32exciting pieces of evening wear
52:34that I think tell the story of the three people
52:36that they came from. Elsa took a
52:38Scottish evening costume
52:40and subverted it. I think it was a
52:42really stunning piece. Luke's
52:44when it came down the catwalk
52:46it had such impact
52:48and something hard to
52:50drape, a jacket.
52:52And then Pasha delivered a gown
52:54that had beautiful pleated elements
52:56it had lots of drama
52:58and I think the fit of it was fantastic.
53:00So I think we had three amazing
53:02made to measures. So do you know who our
53:04winner is? I think so.
53:06I do too.
53:08Oh my God.
53:10Oh my God.
53:22Finalists come forward.
53:30Pasha, Luke, Elsa
53:32over the past ten weeks
53:34the three of you have made some incredible work.
53:36Congratulations on getting this far.
53:38You should all be very proud of yourselves.
53:40The winner
53:42of the Great British Sewing Bee
53:44is
53:58Luke.
54:08Fantastic.
54:10Well done.
54:16Honestly this just doesn't feel real.
54:20Never did I think
54:22I'd even get close to the final
54:24let alone winning like this is just
54:26wild. It doesn't make sense.
54:28All I was expecting
54:30was a hug off Patrick and then I would
54:32have won the Sewing Bee myself but to have
54:34the campest trophy ever. I'm going to remember
54:36this forever.
54:42I'm so proud of myself and
54:44I don't tend to say that a lot
54:46but yeah really proud of myself.
54:48You're giving me a hug.
54:50Best to last.
54:52I'm really happy that Luke won.
54:54They were so
54:56creative and imaginative
54:58and got better and better
55:00and better. The final made to measure
55:02was amazing. Every single one
55:04of Luke's made to measures has been
55:06full of ambition. Today
55:08we saw skill,
55:10we saw drama and an
55:12absolute flair for making
55:14clothes that really really catch the eye
55:16and I think they're just a wonderful winner.
55:18I'm absolutely buzzing. Luke
55:20is such a deserving winner.
55:26I am more than happy to come right up to Luke.
55:28I can't keep the tears in but I'm
55:30genuinely just so happy.
55:32My Sewing Bee experience
55:34has been full of beautiful, talented
55:36people. I don't know what
55:38my emotions are doing right now
55:40but wow, it's just been
55:42incredible. It's just
55:44been amazing being here. This is
55:46more than the icing on the cake, it's the
55:48whole bakery so it's just
55:50unbelievable.
56:02It's all
56:04over now, it takes a
56:06heart to know
56:08the end
56:12I tried to take
56:14the chance to feel the thrill
56:16of romance and
56:18love
56:22and I let my foolish heart
56:24become enchanted by
56:26starlight above
56:28Please help
56:30me understand
56:32the way the angels
56:34land
56:36Our love affair should end
56:38I'll never
56:40ever fall
56:42I'll never fall in
56:44love again
56:48I'll pretend
56:50I never heard
56:52a tender loving word
56:54from you
56:59You found
57:01another love and
57:03forgotten every joy
57:05we knew
57:09Please help me
57:11understand the way
57:13the angels land
57:15Our love affair
57:17should end
57:19I'll never
57:21fall in
57:23love
57:25again
57:29I'll never
57:31fall in love again
57:58I'll never fall in love again
