00:00With that, I would like to yield two minutes to my colleague from Texas.
00:05The gentleman from Texas is recognized.
00:08Thank you, General of Minnesota.
00:09Mr. Speaker, I'm proud to advocate for funding in this bill and the rule that underlies it.
00:14It's interesting to hear the ranking member from Massachusetts talk about it as if it's
00:18all about corporations.
00:19We're going to talk about energy.
00:20It's interesting to hear the lady from Florida talk about energy bills are going to go up.
00:24It's going to cost jobs.
00:26My district, the Texas Gulf Coast, has seven ports and more than any other member of Congress.
00:31We produce 65% of the nation's jet fuel, 80% of the nation's military-grade fuel.
00:36This is about working families.
00:40This bill will bolster our economic strength.
00:43It will create jobs.
00:44It will ensure that our infrastructure can support growth and withstand challenges.
00:50The Texas Gulf Coast is the energy-producing capital.
00:53We've got seven of America's largest petroleum refineries, three LNG plants, 60% of the nation's
01:00strategic petroleum reserve.
01:02We're not talking about shipping gas to our enemies.
01:05Was that the comment from the lady from Florida?
01:07We're talking about to our allies so that they don't have to buy from enemies.
01:11As the energy capital of the world in Texas, we understand the critical importance of this
01:16bill.
01:18Our hard-working families, again, it's about working families.
01:23Based on a robust energy sector, this legislation will help us continue to lead in producing
01:28the cleanest, most affordable oil and gas.
01:33Let's keep our nation strong.
01:34Help me to keep Texas strong.
01:36Let's secure this for generations to come.
01:38I urge my colleagues to support the rule.
01:40The underlying bill.
01:41Mr. Speaker, I yield back.
