00:00What do we want everyone?
00:0250%!
00:04When can we want it?
00:05Now!
00:06I think we all know that we've been systematically underpaid for years.
00:11We've got one of the highest turnover rates going.
00:15We are now the lowest paid in Australia, which is just appalling.
00:20We're supposed to be one of the best states in the country.
00:23Well unfortunately the government's not showing that.
00:27So if we want to attract and retain some staff like the young ones we've got over here,
00:32we're going to have to pay them a wage that competes with Victoria and Queensland.
00:37Or we're not going to keep them.
00:38Fix the mess!
00:39Stop our stress!
00:41Fix the mess!
00:43Stop our stress!
00:45One, two, three, four.
00:48We need more employment!
00:52What we're telling everybody is that we are burnt out, exhausted,
00:56from consistently working short-staffed and doing extra hours to pick up the shortfall.
01:02And we have to do the extra hours.
01:04One, because we want to help our colleagues and keep our patients alive.
01:07But two, because we can't afford to pay our rent and pay our food
01:12if we don't get the extra money from the overtime.
01:15So it's a vicious circle and we've had enough.
