00:00Is this something that you've done for a long time or is this a new thing to you?
00:06This is my 10th year today organising the Open Industrial, so it's great fun.
00:12So you're in charge of dishing out all the awards and giving out the trophies as well, what's that like?
00:18A very busy lead up to the show, Friday we have judging day and all entries are in by half twelve every Friday
00:27and I've got a great committee that support me throughout the year.
00:32There's a standard of the prizes and entries this year as well, is that something that's improved?
00:40We're down slightly in entries this year but as you can see, a great array of entries at a great standard.
00:50Is there a particular type of entry that you like judging as well?
00:55Yeah, so we've got the best overall which has gone to a handicraft item which is the crochet horse by Ro Amaris.
01:08So that's basically the best exhibit in the whole of the Open Industrial 10.
01:14And of course there's a lot of different prizes, especially in this 10 as well.
01:19Do you always see a lot of families come in here as well or is it more of a specific age group?
01:26No, we cover all ages from preschool right up to any age.
01:32We've seen a lot of new entries this year, new people partaking for the first time and many have won prizes today.
01:41So on the county show overall as well, how important do you think it is, especially up in the far north, a place like Perth and Wick?
01:49Very important. It's a great family day out.
01:53Terrific, thank you very much.
