00:00Now it's the sit down with Dylan Sprouse. Hi, Dylan.
00:03Congrats on the duel. This movie is a wild ride.
00:07He slept with my girlfriend and I want him to know I'm the bigger man when I kill him.
00:12Tell us one reason why you think everyone will love it.
00:14I think why it's a fun movie is because it's divisive, right?
00:19In that when we were just beginning to screen it during the edits,
00:24we had groups of people after each screening arguing about what they thought the meaning
00:30of the movie was. So for me, I think like it feels like a real summer trip movie
00:36where you can kind of smoke a d***, drive to the theater with your friends,
00:42watch a fun movie that's like a dark comedy and come out of it being like,
00:46what did you think that meant? That to me is the best kind of experience for a summer movie.
00:51The cast of the movie is stacked. Are you all friends in real life?
00:55We're all very close and friends, you know, outside of the set as well. I think that's
01:01pretty important for chemistry. The four main actors, which are me, Callen, Hart, and Denny,
01:07we all were staying in the same place in Indiana together during that. We had just a kind of a big
01:13Indiana house that we all stayed in and that really added chemistry to the set, I feel.
01:18And in honor of the film, tell us something you think is worth dueling over.
01:22Barbara's on the couch right now. She's like, I wonder, I wonder what we would duel over.
01:28Um, probably her for sure. I would duel over the last chip in the bag. That's something like if
01:34you stole that, that would be, that would be final one for me. It wouldn't be to the death,
01:39but we might have a little slap fight. Are you sure you want to go do with this?
01:43It's a little too late to turn back now, don't you think?
01:45We're a very food oriented family here. So, I mean, Cole and I have come to, come to blows
01:51over food in the past. We're like remarkably fast eaters. All three of the Sprouses, the main
01:57Sprouses, uh, my dad, my brother and I are like, we'll finish a meal in 20 minutes and we'll have
02:04the check by the 25th. It's very, very confusing to a lot of people. We never pay for parking
02:10meters that long. We only put one quarter in. You just celebrated your one year anniversary
02:15to your wife, Barbara. Congratulations. How did you celebrate the milestone?
02:19We celebrated going to Ireland together and traveled around Dublin proper, which was amazing.
02:26And then yesterday we went on a big old hike to a place called Switzer Falls,
02:30came back, ate at this place called Ikinori. And then, uh, we watched this movie called Perfect
02:36Blue when we ended our night watching an anime movie, which is, you know, very us. We've been
02:41together for six years now. We already kind of knew we wanted to marry each other pretty early
02:46on. I think we just wanted to kind of make the right steps and do it the right way and not rush
02:52into anything. What has this year of marriage taught you about yourself and Babs? I've certainly
02:57learned that she doesn't like, um, where I discard my dirty clothes on the ground. That's, uh, that,
03:03that's been five years, she said. Yeah, I think that she's certainly learned a lot. I've seen her
03:08grow a lot this year. That's for sure. I lived in Brooklyn for a long time and I read you have
03:13a meadery there. And according to Forbes, you are the world's youngest master brewer of mead.
03:18Do you identify as mead head, a mead breed? Mead breed's pretty funny.
03:24I do love to work with my hands on things. Me and mead particularly, this was kind of an
03:32effort when I was younger to drink with my friends, uh, but also to kind of really devote
03:38myself to a time period of something like fermentation at the same time as like getting
03:44my hands dirty with it. Um, and that was really, really cathartic for me when I was younger. Um,
03:49and it's still cathartic now. It's also just like a really good gift to give people always on hand.
03:56Like if you don't know what to give someone, you're like, hey, I made this bottle of alcohol
04:01you can drink. And they go, Ooh, um, it's always great.
04:06Okay. We're going to put 10 seconds on the clock. Promote any one of your projects. Ready?
04:10Go. I would definitely promote The Duel. I really think you like it. It's far and away,
04:15like the favorite movie I've done in a very, very, very long time. And it's the first time
04:20I've executive produced. So I'm majorly proud of it. I wouldn't want to fight me. He doesn't
04:25want to fight you. He wants to duel you. Dylan, thank you so much for being here today.
04:29Thanks.
