Salt Lake City will be an Olympics host again after the IOC formally awarded the 2034 Winter Games to the United States bid on Wednesday.

00:00The International Olympic Committee has the honor to announce that the 27th Olympic Winter Games 2034 are awarded to Salt Lake City, Utah.
00:15On behalf of the Utah delegation and 3.4 million people back in the state of Utah, we want to thank you for your kindness and generosity today.
00:35This has been a long process for us. This represents the end of a long process, coming before you, making our presentation, and receiving your trust.
00:46And we recognize it as a serious obligation that we take upon ourselves today.
00:52Our world needs the Olympic and Paralympic movement now more than ever, and we will make you proud.
