00:00Still remaining in the evacuation center in Manila are almost 500 families who lost their homes

00:05because of the storm Karina and Habagat.

00:08Now, we have the news from Jomar Apresto.

00:14In these rooms in the Del Pan Sports Complex,

00:17the residents of Manila, who are almost 500 families, are suffering.

00:22They lost their homes because of the storm Karina and Habagat.

00:27Because of the storm, there was rain and wind.

00:32The foundation of their house is made of wood that is not that big.

00:39So, when the storm passed through, it was destroyed.

00:44Most of the people who lost their homes are from Isla Puting Bato

00:48who are more than 400 families or almost 1,700 individuals.

00:52Among them is 41-year-old Ronny who was born and raised there.

00:57When we woke up, the sea was high.

01:00We woke up at around 10 in the morning.

01:04We only got a TV and a speaker.

01:08We left our pots and pans.

01:10Suddenly, our house was destroyed.

01:14According to Manila Social Welfare and Development,

01:16the local government has provided financial assistance for those affected by the storm.

01:22But it is not enough for those who really lost their homes.

01:25There are food packs and other hygiene kits that are coming.

01:31So, if it is possible to add more,

01:35because for now, they are not that stable.

01:39Aside from that, residents also need clean clothes and underwear.
