New 'Dino Safari' interactive activity launched in Irchester Country Park

00:00This is a new scheme for Chester Country Park. It's been run now for a few years in Corby

00:15mainly, so we're trying to take it in and around the rest of the parks that we have

00:21in North Northamptonshire. And it's Love Exploring, it's an app that you download and you can

00:28do a dinosaur trail throughout the park. So it's fantastic for families to get involved

00:35and obviously get out there, enjoy the fresh air as a family and explore and see all the

00:41dinosaurs. And of course educate yourself a bit about what dinosaurs are, where they

00:45are, a bit of history and all that because our parks have some fantastic history in them

00:50as well. Yes, we're kicking it off now in the summer holidays and then obviously we'd

00:56like to keep bringing it back year on year and maybe even developing it further with

01:00other opportunities and different types of trails. So we'll have to see how popular it

01:05is, won't we? I did have a go with the team because we went to have a look around and

01:12check it out and make sure that the dinosaurs were appearing. So yeah, it's fantastic. It's

01:16amazing. You sort of get hold of the app and you follow it, you follow the trail and then

01:22all of a sudden this great big dinosaur appears in front of you. And it's great fun actually

01:27because you can position yourself so that you can have a photo taken with this virtual

01:32dinosaur.
