00:00Do you have confidence that the authorities in charge have ensured that there will be
00:04a level playing field?
00:06No, not really.
00:20It's obviously disappointing to hear that news and hear about the pre-Tokyo 23 athletes
00:26testing positive, some multiple times.
00:29And for me, racing someone that was one of those athletes, or finding out he was one
00:34of those athletes, was disappointing.
00:37I think it's less about what country they came from and more about the system and how
00:41the system ultimately, like, it feels like it's failed.
00:45Well, that news when it came out was incredibly disappointing and I think incredibly frustrating.
01:01It's nothing we can do about it two days before an Olympic Games.
01:04I'm hoping for a fair race as well and I'm hoping that the ITA is on top of it and everyone
01:14will be competing clean.
01:15To be honest with you, I'm really just focusing on myself.
01:18I mean, you know, obviously in the past I have lost gold medals at the Olympics to people
01:23who have tested positive, so, you know, it is what it is.
01:35Hopefully there's been even testing around the world and, you know, I think everyone's
01:41heard what the athletes think.
01:45They want transparency, they want further answers to the questions that still remain.
01:59I think it's obvious from the legal perspective that everything what we've done regarding
02:05this case was in accordance with the standards.
02:08Now we are waiting for the full report with maybe some recommendations regarding changes
02:16of the standards and regulations.
