00:00I knew that my trauma needed to be treated as early as possible.
00:04Otherwise, the scars would become permanent,
00:08and then the pain would remain.
00:10So right after the attack, I went to a range of treatment therapies,
00:14psychology, art therapy.
00:17I found exercising in the beach, in the sea,
00:20was very helpful to me.
00:25I worked a lot on my soul,
00:27but something still was missing.
00:30Because after the attack, I felt very disconnected from people.
00:34I couldn't find topics of conversation to engage in,
00:39and started feeling somewhat strange.
00:45Then, sometime later, it was my turn.
00:49A phone call from Merab.
00:51Odelia, we are organizing a therapeutic trip to Ethiopia.

00:58I am someone who loves to travel and travel the world.
01:03Immediately answered, as you expect, of course.
01:09My two great loves, traveling and now therapy.
01:16Perfect.
01:18And indeed, we went on a journey to Ethiopia.
01:22A therapeutic journey that was incredible.
01:25For the first time, I met others who had gone through what I had gone through.
01:31I didn't feel so odd anymore.
01:34Others were expressing what I felt,
01:37because I couldn't put it into words.
01:44Words which opened up whole new friends to me.
01:50Eight days of journey into the soul.
01:54Workshops, talks, lectures, hearings.
01:57Hearings 50 horror stories,
02:00but also meeting 50 new families.
02:03Members of one family.
02:05My new friends.
02:11Now they finally helped me realize that I am okay.
02:16I have not gone crazy.
02:18What's happening to me, it's okay.
02:21And it's going to be okay because we are together.
02:30The therapeutic journey we went through together was truly exceptional.
