00:04I hate to tell you that, North Carolina.

00:08They have beat you 201 and they were to a rough one last week.

00:14They were sitting in the front row and things were happening that weren't too nice, right?

00:21But they were there.

00:22They were there and they didn't move.

00:24You know, amazing.

00:25Nobody moved.

00:27When a bullet goes off, it's a freak thing, but a bullet goes off, crowds always run.

00:32They call it a stampede.

00:34Nobody ran.

00:35And we had 55,000 people.

00:39You could see the small group we had behind.

00:45And, no, you could see the group behind because the camera was on.

00:54We had a tremendous, you know, like hundreds of people from the press.

00:58We had cameras going on and you could see behind me.

01:02They weren't.

01:03There was.

01:04They were like this.

01:05How about the guy right behind me in the black with the green hat?

01:08And he's looking like this guy was.

01:14I want to meet him.

01:15But they had a lot of guys like that back there.

01:17But did you see him?

01:18They've only played that clip about 5000 times.

01:21They see it every day.

01:22It's over and over.

01:24But you see how brave normally when something like that happens, everybody but Richard will

01:28leave.

01:29Richard will say he's a tough cookie.

01:32But no, everybody scrambles, they run.

01:35Nobody ran.

01:36Same thing with the group out front.

01:38The group out front was the big group, thousands and thousands of people.

01:42Nobody left.

01:44They just stood there watching because they saw that I was in trouble.

01:49Either I was in trouble or something was happening because I had a lot of blood on my hand.

01:52I checked out.

01:53I said, oh, yeah.

01:54What's this?

01:56But now they saw that.

01:58And when I went down, they saw that and nobody left.

02:00It was like the whole thing is like a big love fest.

02:11That was a horrible thing.

02:35Bullets were flying and they were running right at me.

02:39And it was a rough, horrible, horrible time.

02:43And they said, sir, we have a stretcher for you.

02:45I said, you're not putting me.

02:46I'm not getting on a stretcher.

02:47They had a stretcher.

02:48I said, that's not going to look very good if I get carried out on a stretcher.

02:53Hello, everybody.

02:55Everybody is that I'm not getting where are my shoes.

02:59My shoes got knocked off.

03:01They tackled me so damn hard.

03:06But it was a terrible thing in so many ways.

03:10And as you know, we lost somebody who is fantastic.

03:13And two other great people.

03:27These are great people.

03:28I got to know their families a little bit.

03:30And, you know, the public has really been generous to them, too.

03:33They opened up their hearts.

03:35I won't even tell you the numbers are so incredible, but they opened up their hearts to the three

03:40of them.

03:41And these two were hurt very badly.

03:42I think they're both now in pretty good shape.

03:44They'll soon be in very good shape, so.

03:50But I just looked down here at Front Row Jones and it just reminded me of that incident a

03:55week and a half ago.

03:56Right.

03:57You were right there watching it.

03:58You saw it.

03:59And you guys, by the way, weren't moving either.

04:00I saw you.

04:01You didn't move.

04:02You were just they were standing just like they're standing right now.

04:04They were standing.

04:08And sad, such a such a distressed, sick world.

04:13But, you know, it could be caused when they call you a threat to democracy.

04:47But watch the people behind.

04:50They always stampede.

04:52If a bullet goes off or something happens at a soccer stadium or a stadium, and we had

04:56more people than most of those stadiums would have.

05:01Everyone runs.

05:02Nobody ran.

05:03They stayed.

05:05And you have to look.

05:06The one guy, it just was so, he just was so angry.

05:10I got to meet him.

05:12There's something about brave people that I love, right?

05:15People that love our country.
