00:00Hundreds of people are behind me and they're queuing to go through the passenger security
00:07screening again. Many of them had already been through that screening process and had
00:12to come back out and get re-screened after there was a security incident. Now that incident
00:16happened around 11am and the airport says that an incoming flight, an incoming regional
00:23flight wasn't screened properly and that meant that everyone had to be re-screened again.
00:29So everyone was evacuated, they're going back through again. It was a bit hectic, we've
00:34been here for about half an hour now and people are moving through quite quickly but there's
00:39still plenty of chaos here on the ground. We spoke to some people who'd been affected
00:45earlier, flights have been delayed, here's what they had to say.
00:49We just wondered what was going on but we realised there was no beeping or alarms or
00:53anything so we figured it wasn't too much of a security breach but we were just more
00:57confused as to what was going on. I could definitely imagine if we had to be
01:01on time for something it would be quite frustrating. It was a bit of a shock when we walked in
01:04to see what was going on but I've been on the tail end of it so it's moving now.
01:09So Brianna, already delays, are there expected to be further delays through the afternoon?
01:15Yeah, more delays are expected. Passengers who have flights are encouraged to check their
01:24flight number and check the airport communications to see whether their flight has been delayed
01:28and what time they need to get here. But yeah, there's some unhappy customers. Some passengers
01:36are due to go on international flights so they're not sure if they'll get there in time.
01:41Plenty of people are doing the European summer and some aren't sure if they'll make it.
