00:00Last stop for another exciting adventure in outer space with Scott McCloud, Space Angel,
00:20and the story of The Fugitives.
00:50This is Neptune Space Park Station. Go ahead, Captain O'Hara. Major, we have a patrol ship
00:56overdue. He was on routine patrol between here and Uranus. Just a minute, O'Hara. I'll put you
01:02through to the chief. What's that? You mean he doesn't respond to his call signal? That's right,
01:08chief. Not a peep. He was on a routine patrol in sector three. We received no mayday. The
01:13Starduster's in that area. I'll have Scott check it out. Right, chief. Thank you. Out here.
01:19Major, get me the Starduster. Yes, sir.
01:27Right, chief. We can be in that area in ten units. Good. Get back to me as soon as you make
01:34contact. Hope that ship wasn't hit by a stray meteor. Could be, Taurus. We'll soon find out.
01:50Area destination coming up, Taurus. Got anything? I've picked up something.
01:55It looks like Space Force, all right. High at one o'clock.
01:59Right. Correcting attitude, 15 degrees.
02:02It's a Space Force ship, all right. I'm going like the devil. Switch on your forward view
02:07scopes, Kipper. That's our missing ship, all right. I'll see if I can contact it. Space Force,
02:14Neptune, 4-1. This is the Starduster. Come in, please.
02:18Space Force, 4-1. This is the Starduster. If you hear me, flash your
02:25the Starduster? Radio must be open. We'll pull alongside.
02:43Space Force, 4-1. This is the Starduster. If you hear me, flash your signal lights.
02:55They've blasted us!
02:59Quick, get your space helmet on!
03:02Taurus, are you ...? Oh, no!
03:09Evening, Star, this is Earth Control, come in, please.
03:19Evening, Star, yeah, come in, Chief.
03:22Have you had any word from the Starduster?
03:25Not since his last report to you that he'd sighted the missing ship and was closing in
03:29on her.
03:30Why, the devil doesn't Scott report in.
03:32Let me know if you hear anything.
03:33Well, I'm sure they'll be reporting in soon.
03:34I hope so.
03:35Earth Control, out.
03:36Evening, Star, out.
03:37That should hold you till I can get you back to the Evening Star.
03:47They've blasted us!
03:48Why, Skipper, why?
03:51I don't know, Taurus, we'll find out later.
03:55Right now, just lie still, I'll see if I can get us underway.
04:00Did you tell the Chief about the ship, lad?
04:03Can't, Taurus.
04:04Communicator's out.
04:05Emergency radio's out.
04:06How about power?
04:07We have A.B. power.
04:08Red furrows are knocked out.
04:09Four-turn jet's out.
04:10Stabilizing jet's out.
04:11We'll get back.
04:12Just hang on.
04:13Without retrorockets, I don't know how we're going to stop, but we're headed for home.
04:42How will Scott land the Starduster, even if he can get back to the Evening Star?
04:46Don't miss the next exciting episode of Space Angels.
05:08First off, for another exciting adventure in outer space with Scott McCloud, Space Angel,
05:14in the story of The Fugitives.
05:19Last time, the Chief of Space Force ordered Scott and Taurus to investigate the disappearance
05:23of a patrol ship.
05:25Scott located the ship, but when he tried to make contact, the patrol ship blasted the
05:29Starduster, leaving the craft practically helpless and Taurus injured.
05:34The Starduster turned and limped for home base.
05:38Starduster, this is Evening Star.
05:45Come in, please.
05:49Still no answer.
05:50I don't understand it.
05:51Dad, I'm worried.
05:52Something must be wrong.
05:53Chris, we've got a blip.
05:54There's a ship coming this way.
05:55It could be the Starduster.
05:56Oh, I hope so.
05:57It won't be long now, Taurus.
06:08Don't worry about me, Skipper.
06:09I'll make it.
06:10We must be getting pretty close now.
06:11I guess I'd better turn her a little so I can see where we're going.
06:17The viewer's out too.
06:18Luckily, we can still control attitude.
06:31There she is, Taurus.
06:32We'll have you in sick bay in a few minutes now.
06:34Aye.
06:35Me, you, and the Starduster, unless you've got a way of stopping without retro-rockets.
06:41I'll have to cartwheel the ship, Taurus, and brake with the main power.
06:46It might work at that.
06:48Better.
06:49Crystal, look out there.
06:50It is the Starduster.
06:51Something's wrong, Dad.
06:52Their approach is way out of line.
06:53They must be out of control.
06:54They're falling toward us.
06:55I'll have the emergency crew stand by.
06:56Attention all personnel.
06:57Condition red.
06:58Collision imminent.
06:59Secure all hatches.

07:30Hang on.
07:31It might be a little uncomfortable.
07:33Don't worry about me, lad.
07:35Here goes nothing.
07:47Good heavens.
07:48That was quite a maneuver.
07:49Dad, the ship is badly damaged.
07:50Oh, I hope the boys are all right.
07:51Launch control.
07:52Get a tug out there.
07:53Starduster's control systems are out.

09:18That's good news, Scott.
09:20Any word on the ship that blasted us?
09:22Nothing yet.
09:23O'Hara's searching the area where you were hit.
09:26Chief, tell O'Hara to...
09:28Hang on, Scott.
09:29Go ahead, Major.
09:30Maybe O'Hara's got something.
09:32Scott, that was a Mayday call.
09:34The orbital fueling station at Jupiter was just attacked by the missing Space Force ship.
09:38It was piloted by a tall, thin woman and some kind of general.
09:42Sound familiar to you?
09:44Sure does, Chief.
09:45Queen Zora.
09:47The evil Queen Zora and her henchman, the general.
09:50Will Scott be able to locate them and their stolen ship?
09:53Don't miss the next exciting episode of Space Angels.
10:13Last stop for another exciting adventure in outer space with Scott McCloud, Space Angel,
10:19in the story of The Fugitives.
10:24Last time, Scott and Taurus were blasted by a patrol ship they were sent to find.
10:29Taurus was injured by the blast.
10:31With almost all controls out, Scott maneuvered the great ship to a safe landing on the evening star
10:36where the doctors assured Scott and Crystal that Taurus would be all right.
10:40I'm afraid it's Zora all right, Scott.
10:43And whatever her evil scheme is, we've got to stop her.
10:46How soon will the Stardust be operational?
10:48It's under repair now, Chief.
10:50Should be ready by 0600.
10:53Good.
10:54Be ready for blast-off at that time.
10:56I want you to handle this operation.
10:58It'll be a pleasure, Chief.
11:00I'll be needing a Space Force squadron.
11:03Take the whole Space Force if you need them, but track down that Queen.
11:07I want her alive.
11:09You'll get her, Chief.
11:11Out here, Chris, contact O'Hara to scramble his squadron
11:16and rendezvous at Jupiter fueling station at six space periods.
11:20Right, Scott.
11:21Launch control, ready Starduster for extended flight.
11:25And prepare for pre-flight check.
11:29Starduster, this is launch control.
11:32You're clear to blast off in five space units.
11:35Are you ready for countdown?
11:37Launch control, all flight personnel not accounted for.
11:40Donovan was taking Taurus' place.
11:42He should be aboard.
11:44Well, he was right behind us.
11:45I wonder what's keeping him.
11:50He won't be here.
11:51We decided I would go instead.
11:54Taurus, what are you doing here?
11:56You need rest.
11:57You're not strong enough for a mission.
11:59It don't take much strength to push a trigger button.
12:03Okay, you old space goat.
12:06Launch control, this is Starduster.
12:08Crew complete.
12:09Ready for countdown.
12:10Roger, Starduster.
12:11Ready and counting.
12:26Starduster, this is Space Force Neptune.
12:29Come in, please.
12:30O'Hara on channel 3-7.
12:32Right.
12:33Space Force Neptune, this is the Starduster.
12:35Hi, O'Hara.
12:36Well, Scott, we found the crow from the hijacked ship.
12:39It was Queen Zara, right?
12:41Our ship found them in a capsule.
12:43When they stopped to pick her up, she and the general took over the ship
12:46and left our Space Force boys adrift.
12:49I think I know where she's headed, O'Hara.
12:52From the point where she hit us to the refueling station,
12:55is in direct line with the asteroid belt.
12:58Right.
12:59She's probably hiding out in one of the asteroids
13:01so that our radar can't pick her up.
13:04Right there.
13:05Split the squadron and search the asteroid belt.
13:09We'll join you there in two space brigades.
13:11Right, Scott.
13:12Will do.
13:17Listen, General.
13:18It's the Space Force captain.
13:20O'Hara to squadron.
13:22Change course, far seven degrees.
13:25We're going to search the asteroid belt.
13:27Sooner or later, they will find us here.
13:29We can't take off, Your Highness.
13:31They'd shoot us down on sight.
13:33You'll be looking for ship number 41.
13:36You will change our number.
13:38Even so, Your Highness, we will not have much of a head start.
13:42Flying alone ahead of them, they will follow us.
13:45We will not run, General.
13:48We will wait for the Space Force to split up and start the search.
13:53Then, join them.
13:55Just another Space Force ship searching for ourselves.
14:01Yes.
14:02Now, change that number.
14:07O'Hara to squadron.
14:09Asteroid belt coming up.
14:11Split up and hunt them out, lads.
14:20They are coming, my General.
14:22It is time for the Fox to become a hound.
14:25They will not be looking for Space Force ship number 39.
14:46The fools do not suspect us.
14:49And that is fortunate for them.
14:52I have the guns trained on them, just in case.
14:57One false move and the Queen will blast them from the skies.
15:01Will her scheme succeed?
15:03Don't miss the next exciting episode of Space Angels.
15:22Blast off for another exciting adventure in outer space with Scott McCloud, Space Angel,
15:28in the story of The Fugitives.
15:32Last time, Scott, Crystal and Taurus took off in the Starduster.
15:36They were headed for an asteroid belt,
15:38where Queen Zora and the General were hiding aboard the stolen Space Force ship.
15:43When the Queen heard that the Space Force squadron was to join the Starduster in the search for her,
15:48she changed the number on her stolen ship to number 39 and then joined the squadron.
15:55We will stay on this course until we reach the large asteroid Ceres.
16:00Then we will go behind it and change course for our home base.
16:04Very clever.
16:06With Ceres for our shield, they will not see us until we have a good head start.
16:12Since we have destroyed the Space Force fueling station, they cannot follow us very far.
16:25O'Hara's squadron just ahead, Skipper.
16:27Starduster to Space Force Neptune.
16:30We're coming in at six o'clock high.
16:33Glad you're here, Scott.
16:35Seen any signs of anything yet?
16:37Not a sign, Skipper.
16:39She could be hiding out on one of the bigger asteroids.
16:41The heroes in Ceres are coming up.
16:43All right, you are, Scott. Hold here.
16:50Your Highness, that's the Space Angel ship.
16:53I thought we knocked him out.
16:55Do not panic, my General. I have the guns trained on him.
16:58I could destroy him once and for all.
17:01No, no, Your Highness.
17:03I will not shoot, General.
17:05Unless, of course, the Space Angel sees through our disguise.
17:10Scott, the radar is useless in this asteroid belt.
17:13I know, Crystal. They've got to depend on visual contact.
17:16Hey, Skipper, something's wrong.
17:18What is it, Torres?
17:20We've got two Space Force ships with the number 39.
17:23One on either side of us.
17:2539 to port, 39 to starboard.
17:29Uh-oh, that Queen Zara's pretty sharp.
17:32Who'd ever look for her flying with the squadron?
17:35She just made a bad choice of numbers.
17:38We'd better warn O'Hara.
17:39Can't do that, Chris.
17:40She's probably tuned in on the Space Force channel.
17:43What do we do, Skipper?
17:44I just can't blast both 39s.
17:47We'll let her make the first move.
17:50She's trying to get away, probably waiting to change course
17:53using one of the big asteroids as a radar shield.
17:56Scott, O'Hara on channel 37.
17:58Right, Chris.
17:59O'Hara to squadron.
18:01That group of large asteroids ahead is the most likely hiding place.
18:04We'll have to locate them before long.
18:06We haven't much fuel left.
18:08Split up now and good hunting.
18:10I will increase speed, Hyman.
18:12No, not yet, General.
18:14Uh-oh.
18:15Number 39 on the port side is increasing power.
18:21And he's going behind the big asteroid.
18:23So's the one on the starboard side, Taurus.
18:28What do you think, Taurus? Which one?
18:30I'd say port side.
18:31He's almost at full power.
18:33Right.
18:34Guess it's time to make our move.
18:36Stand by space cannon.
18:40They have all gone on the other side, General.
18:43Now you may change course
18:45and head for the base under full power.
18:51We'll meet that ship as it comes out on the other end of the asteroid.
18:54Keep him covered, Taurus.
18:56I'm going to call him for identification.
18:58But, Scott, if it is the Queen's ship, they'll blast us first.
19:02I'm afraid we'll have to take that chance.
19:04We can't follow both ships.
19:06Aye, Skipper. It's coming out now.
19:12They're in my sights.
19:13And the crew had better be Space Force.
19:16Starduster to Space Force 39.
19:19Come in, 39.
19:2139 here, Lieutenant Brown speaking.
19:24What's your position, Lieutenant?
19:26Right off your port side, sir.
19:28Thanks, Lieutenant.
19:29You stay right there on my port side.
19:32Phew, what a relief.
19:34Crystal, switch me to channel 231.
19:38What's up, Scott?
19:39Scramble the pack, O'Hara.
19:41Our Fox is on the other side of Ceres.
19:44They've changed the number to 39.
19:46And don't mistake Lieutenant Brown's ship for the Queen.
19:49He's riding my port side.
19:53Squadron, assemble.
19:54Target is Space Force ship 39
19:57on the other side of Ceres.
19:59They are wise to us, Majesty.
20:01Their wisdom comes a little late.
20:04They cannot catch us now.
20:06Their limited fuel supply will not allow them to pursue us very far.
20:11Has the evil Queen outsmarted the Space Force?
20:14Will she go free to destroy again?
20:16Don't miss the next exciting episode of Space Angels.
20:32Last stop for another exciting adventure in outer space
20:35with Scott McCloud, Space Angel,
20:39in the story of The Fugitives.
20:44Last time, Queen Zora and the General
20:46aboard the stolen Space Force ship number 39
20:48joined the squadron, flying right next to the Starduster.
20:52Torres discovered that there were two ships with the number 39.
20:55By the time Scott knew which one was the Queen's ship,
20:58she had gone behind the asteroid called Ceres.
21:01The Space Force followed, but they were low on fuel supply.
21:04No sign of them, O'Hara.
21:06They must have changed course as soon as they disappeared behind Ceres.
21:09Got anything on radar, Chris?
21:11Yes, four astroleagues out and moving fast.
21:13Trajectory two points off vector five.
21:15Must be headed for Uranus.
21:17We'll go after them.
21:18The squadron will have to return for fuel, Scott.
21:21We'll join up with you in 20 units.
21:23Right, O'Hara.
21:26You see, General? They are turning back.
21:29But the Space Angel has fuel.
21:31He will be coming after us.
21:33Fine.
21:34We will call our base and arrange a reception for the Space Angel.
21:38Say, six or eight fighters.
21:44We're still closing on her.
21:46She must know we're gaining on her.
21:48Sooner or later, she'll know.
21:50We'll go after her.
21:52She must know we're gaining on her.
21:54Sooner or later, she's got to fight.
21:56No doubt she has a plan.
21:59I'd sure like to know what it is.
22:01Scott, if she's using her communicator,
22:04I could probably pick her up.
22:06Good idea, Chris. Give it a try.
22:08Well, there's nothing on the low end.
22:10I'll scan the higher frequencies.
22:13That's it. Channel four four.
22:16I will lead the Starduster close to the base.
22:19Your squadron will pursue and destroy the Space Angel.
22:23Well, well.
22:25An ambush.
22:27Her base must be on one of the moons of Uranus.
22:30She's on a beeline for the third moon.
22:32What's the plan, Skipper?
22:34I'll take the dark and go after the Queen.
22:36You decoy our fighters away toward O'Hara's squadron.
22:50It won't be long now. Keep a sharp eye.
22:54Here they come now, Taurus.
22:58Six fighters coming up fast.
23:00Ah-ha! We'll lead them a merry chase.
23:05So, the brave Space Angel is running away.
23:09After him, you fools.
23:15Taurus, Space Force coming in fast.
23:17Just ahead and below.
23:19Space Force, this is the Starduster.
23:22We've lost contact.
23:24We've lost contact.
23:26We've lost contact.
23:28We've lost contact.
23:30We've lost contact.
23:32Space Force, this is the Starduster.
23:35What's the matter, Taurus?
23:37Can't you get along without me for a few minutes?
23:40Sure can, but since you seem to have so much trouble finding a target,
23:44I thought I'd bring you a few.
23:46Wow, I'll say you did.
23:48Come on, rise up.
23:57Good work, O'Hara.
23:59Swing back and pick up survivors.
24:01I'll go back and see if I can help the Skipper.
24:06Now I'll take advantage of the one weak spot in a Space Force fighter.
24:10The blind spot, right under the tail.
24:17Now, I'll let her know I'm here.
24:21Queen Zahra.
24:23This is the Space Angel.
24:25You will eject, or I'll blow you out of there.
24:28The Space Angel?
