Multiple fibre optic networks vandalised across France

00:00Telecom companies in France have been targeted by acts of vandalism just days after a wave
00:06of attacks also hit the country's rail network. SFR, Bouygues and Free saw their installations
00:12vandalised, an act which left countless French people without network access.
00:16Fibre-optic carts were reported by a police source and both fixed and mobile lines were
00:20reportedly affected. No one has claimed the actions as yet and the ongoing Olympic Games
00:26appear not to have been impacted at this time.
00:33These acts of sabotage take place just three days after the coordinated malicious attacks
00:37that targeted French national rail company SNCF and severely disrupted rail traffic over the
00:42weekend. On Sunday, one person was arrested in conjunction with the attacks at an SNCF site.
