00:16men's singles at Roland-Garros.
00:20The match is likely to be the pair's final head-to-head contest after having played against
00:25each other 60 times in their careers.
00:29Djokovic and Nadal have won 46 Grand Slam singles titles between them, including 17
00:35at the French Open.
00:37But while Nadal boasts two gold medals, Djokovic has not yet clinched Olympic victory.
00:45At least two people have been killed and more than 100 injured after a train derailed in
00:51Russia's Volgograd region.
00:54The train, which was carrying 800 passengers, was travelling from Kazan to Adler when it
01:00collided with a cargo truck that had driven onto the tracks despite the approaching train
01:04signal according to Russian railways.
01:09Russian investigators have opened a criminal probe into the possible violation of traffic
01:13safety rules and the operation of railway transport.
01:24For the second day in a row, the training for the triathlon competition of the Paris
01:31Olympics has been postponed because the water quality of the Seine River just behind me
01:36is too polluted.
01:38The main events, the men's triathlon, is supposed to take place on Tuesday and the women's is
01:43supposed to take place the day after on Wednesday.
01:46So what happens in case the water quality does not improve?
01:49Well, local authorities are insisting that they'll just keep postponing until the Seine
01:54becomes less polluted.
01:56However, let's say in the extreme case that it doesn't, well, then the triathlon will
02:00become a duathlon.
02:01That means that triathletes will only compete in the cycling and running sections of the
02:06competition.
02:07So that means no swimming.
02:09And as for the marathon swimming events that are scheduled for August 8 and August 9 in
02:13the Seine River, well, the city does have a plan B in case the water is still too polluted.
02:20And that's that the events will take place in a nautical stadium east of Paris.
02:26And if necessary, the events could also be moved to where the canoeing and rowing competitions
02:31are currently being held.
02:33Sofia Katzenkova reporting from Paris for Euronews.
02:41On Monday, Belgium will be welcoming four children from Gaza for medical treatment.
02:47Three of the young patients, aged between 6 and 10, need treatment for cancer.
02:53They are accompanied on their journey by their families.
02:58In total, the Belgian authorities are welcoming 12 people as part of this medical evacuation
03:03mission, which began thousands of kilometers away.
03:09These patients have been evacuated through PCRF prior to the Rafah closure to Egypt,
03:16used it as a central hub, and then pulled from there to Belgium.
03:21And obviously, as you can tell, the trip is not easy.
03:24These are patients that have lost everything at home.
03:26They have lost their homes.
03:28They have lost loved ones.
03:30And so we had to make sure that they've already been displaced once, that they feel comfortable
03:35as we're taking them to another location.
03:39While Belgium is treating these children, the transport was carried out by a Slovakian
03:43medical aircraft.
03:44This is the second mission of its kind undertaken by the European Union, the World Health Organization,
03:49Egypt and the NGO.
03:53A few days ago, Spain welcomed 16 young patients, again accompanied by family members.
04:01Each country, again, picks based off the criteria that they believe is best for the way that
04:05they can help those patients.
04:07And so Spain has had patients that had orthopedic problems, chronic conditions, cardiac problems.
04:15Belgium's focus was primarily more onto the oncology-like patients.
04:21These patients will remain in Europe for the duration of their treatment and until there
04:25is a ceasefire in Gaza.
04:28Experts remain hopeful that other European Union countries will open their doors to children in need.
04:42In a star-studded Sunday, Rafa Nadal reached the second round of the men's singles to set

04:59by 34 points in the Americans' opening game.
05:03France kept racking up goals as Pauline Ferrand-Prévot finished first in mountain bike racing after
05:11more than a decade of trying.
05:14And Léon Marchand won the men's 400-meter individual medley in swimming.
05:20Japan celebrated twice thanks to gold medal wins in judo and women's skateboarding.
05:28Sunday's victories sent Japan top of the gold medal table on level terms with Australia.
05:35Meanwhile, concerns remain over the same water quality.
05:40Tuesday's triathlon competitions could be postponed, but organisers remain optimistic.
05:51Thousands of mourners have attended the funerals for 11 of the 12 youngsters killed in a rocket
05:58strike from Lebanon that struck a football field in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights
06:02on Saturday.
06:04The Israeli military said the attack was the deadliest on civilians in Israel since the
06:08war with Hamas started last October.
06:12Israel said its intelligence showed that the Lebanese group Hezbollah was responsible for
06:16the strike and promised a retaliation.
06:19Hezbollah is a messenger of Iran in the region.
06:23Hezbollah will not make up for this event, even in its most violent attacks.
06:28He fired the shot, he paid the price, and he will pay a heavy price for his actions.
06:34Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cut short a trip to the United States to return
06:39to Israel to chair an emergency security cabinet meeting.
06:44It authorized Netanyahu's government to decide on the manner and timing of the response.
06:51Hezbollah rushed to deny any involvement in Saturday's strike, which has raised fears
06:56of starting a broader regional war in the Middle East.
06:59Speaking in Tokyo, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said there was no justification
07:05for terrorism, but cautioned against escalation.
07:09We also don't want to see the conflict escalate.
07:10We don't want to see it spread.
07:11That has been one of our goals from day one, from October 7th on, and we'll continue to
07:20do that.
07:21And Lebanon's Foreign Minister Abdallah Bouhabib said on Sunday that the government had asked
07:25Washington to urge restraint from Israel in a bid to calm the situation.
07:31Hezbollah began firing rockets at Israel the day after the Hamas incursion into Israel
07:35on October 7th, it says, in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
07:41Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have killed more than 500 people, mostly Hezbollah members,

07:57Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians gathered in Kyiv to commemorate the second
08:02anniversary of an explosion that killed more than 50 Ukrainians detained by Russia in the
08:07Olenivka prison barracks.
08:10Soldiers at the ceremony urged the Ukrainian government to work harder to get soldiers
08:15freed in prisoner exchanges.
08:17The Olenivka explosion was one of the most painful pages in the history of Russia's ongoing
08:23invasion of Ukraine, according to many soldiers.
08:27Russia claimed the explosion was caused by Kyiv's forces firing a missile, but increasing
08:32evidence instead suggests that Russia was responsible for setting off the blast.
08:37Two years after, many Ukrainians still want to know exactly how it happened.
08:43The event in the centre of Kyiv drew together many families, including the mothers, wives
08:48and children of soldiers who were killed in the blast, or of those who are currently imprisoned
08:54by Russia.
08:59Hundreds of dancers from nine countries attended the International Folklore Festival in Romania.

09:12opening of the 12th edition of the country's International Folklore Festival.
09:20Nine countries sent performers to represent them at the festival.
09:26Most of the 300 dancers who were sent to show their talent and passion for folklore at the
09:31festival were in Romania for the first time.
09:36Residents of the town where the festival is held look forward to it every year, especially
09:42because the talent changes each time the festival happens.
09:47After a weekend full of music and dances from performers gathered from around the world,
09:52the festival ended with a laureates' gala.
