00:00We've been talking a lot about wildfires burning throughout parts of California, but several other states are also dealing with them, too.
00:06Yeah, unfortunately, that's right. The Alexander Mountain fire broke out around lunchtime today near Loveland, Colorado.
00:13Now, the wildfire quickly spread to several hundred acres, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
00:19Evacuation orders have been issued nearby and roadways have been closed as firefighters continue to battle this blaze.
00:26Meanwhile, those near the evacuation zones are preparing to leave should orders expand down the mountain.
00:33Saw where the burn was and decided out of caution to put sprinkler lines up around the house
00:40and got everything kind of buttoned down at the house and I thought I'd come down here and see what the high country looked like.
00:46Can't do anything, can't get up on the mountain to do anything. The main thing is keep the firefighters safe.
00:52Smoke from the wildfire near Loveland is reportedly visible about 30 miles south into the Boulder, Colorado area as well.
00:59So we have had a lot of problems here into the west lately.
01:03And as we take you a little bit farther south and west, parts of Southern California have been dealing with dry weather as well.
01:11We haven't had as many big fires there. And then heading up the coast into northwestern parts of the nation, you can see that the radar has been active.
01:18This has been relatively good to see some showers out there into eastern parts of Washington and Oregon.
