00:00the American men on the pitch for U.S. men's soccer. Deliver
00:08today. Final game of group play action against Guinea. Now, the
00:13United States, a hefty favorite minus 220 in the match. Money
00:17line, Jacob, would you categorize this match against
00:20Guinea as a must win for the Americans to advance? I think
00:25so. I think this is a classic case where you have to kind of
00:28take care of business and yeah, they could draw and be okay, but
00:32you just don't want to leave it in the hands of France and New
00:35Zealand. Just in case, you know, if New Zealand is somehow able
00:38to upset France that all of a sudden things aren't looking
00:40too good there. So I think they got to focus on beating Guinea.
00:43They got to find a way to do it and Guinea hasn't been a slouch
00:47in this tournament. They've allowed to I think three goals
00:51throughout their two games. They've scored twice. So two one
00:54goal losses. So they're going to be able to keep this closer
00:57than people might realize. Their defense has been pretty
01:00solid. They outpossessed New Zealand last game. So I'm not
01:04not writing this in as an immediate USA win. They should
01:07be able to get the job done, but it might be a little trickier
01:10than people realize. Jacob, we take a look at the odds here
01:14at the FanDuel Sportsbook here to win the Men's Olympic Soccer
01:17Championship here and grab the gold. France is a plus 150
01:20price, Spain plus 220, Argentina six to one and Team USA at
01:24a 29 to one price. So if we take a look at not necessarily
01:27winning the gold, is there a realistic chance that Team USA
01:30can advance and possibly even medal in this Olympic round?
01:35I think they can advance. They probably should advance. I
01:38think the question with them is going to be can they do enough
01:42to metal? I they have some good young talent. I like John Luca
01:45Busio a lot and you know, Walker Zimmerman is a steady in
01:49presence for them. But anytime you get an under 23 team, even
01:52with those three overage players on their Oscar, it gets tricky
01:56to project out exactly what they can do. If they get hot at
01:59the right time and they all sort of gel and come together, they
02:03could go on a little bit of a run. But I think some of these
02:07other countries like France and Spain, they have these development
02:10programs that more readily get these players available to play
02:16and just have them in sharper form. So I think the United
02:20States team is still probably coming together a little bit
02:23from that perspective. So I think getting up to the top here
02:26might be difficult. But like I said, if they get hot, it's
02:31possible.
