00:00Some barangays in Limay, Bataan, are not safe to swim and fish in the current sea.
00:06Based on the water quality test conducted by the DNR on July 25 and 26,
00:12the next investigation was conducted to remove the oil from the sinking MT Terra Nova.
00:18Among the affected areas are Barangay Alamau, Luz Kitang, Francis Juan, and Wawa.
00:23The oil in the sea should not exceed 2 milligrams per liter
00:28to remain safe to swim, and up to 3 milligrams per liter to remain safe to fish.
00:34The fishing ban in Limay is still in force.
00:37According to the Philippine Coast Guard,
00:39it is possible that the siphoning or sinking of more than 1 million liters of oil will start today.
00:45This did not continue yesterday because not all the leaked valves and tubes are still in the sea.
00:50As of now, 18 out of 24 valves and tubes are already in the sea by divers.
00:55According to the PCG, the oil leak is lower than 1 liter per hour,
00:59which is why less oil is seen in Limay.
01:02According to their aerial inspection in Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, and Pampanga,
01:06almost no oil sheen was seen.
01:08No oil spill was also seen by some fishermen in Manila Bay.
