00:00So this is what it takes for community events, board rider events, council events.
00:13So we're educating people about using the app right?
00:16They tie these onto their long lines and they let them drift for kilometres and days and days
00:21and then they just go and say where is it?
00:23And they go straight to that point and retrieve their gear.
00:30. . .
00:58These are the ones we fly at 50 locations across the coast with Department of Primary Industries
01:04during the school holiday period.
01:05So after the break of the waves they're for that shark detection and identification.
01:09And these ones are the more advanced M30s.
01:12They're called better in conditions like today.
01:15A bit of rain as well.
01:17We do spot any sharks that go straight into the Shark Smarter.
01:21We're able to shut the beach if necessary and they can track the sharks through the beach
01:26and if they think there's not a danger they'll re-open the beach within an hour or two.
01:31As we progress around that we come to the Bay Wrecking Program.
01:37In this program around 130 drones but then they fly from Tweed Heads down to Pangola.
01:44Some really great stats again, last year they did around 44,000 flights but over 200,000 kilometres.
01:51So that's 200,000 kilometres just looking for sharks all the time.
01:55. . .
02:09So our programs are designed to give them those first response techniques
02:13and a lot of that does come down to things like shark mitigation and surveillance.
02:17We're growing a certain community that we get to work with.
02:20How do the clubs do that kind of shark . . .
02:24Stop blood loss.
02:26So not only for injuries like a shark attack, propeller injury or severe laceration.
02:33By a number of our coastal communities with a drone to empower them to keep their members and community safe.
02:39And will that be increasing as part of that program?
02:42. . .
02:55Okay.
02:56. . .
03:10You good?
03:11Yep.
