00:00In Olongapo, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin visited Patin today to visit the companies that compose the U.S. Navy's ships.

00:16On his second day in the Philippines, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin visited the companies in Subic Bay in Olongapo, Zambales.
00:24He said that the U.S. is pleased that the companies in Subic Bay have the ability to compose the U.S. Navy's ships and its allies in the region.
00:33One of the people Austin talked to were officials from Hyundai and Cerebros who bought the shipyard in Hanjin and have plans to build a shipbuilding facility.
00:55Again, we've come a long way in three and a half years in our relationship with the Philippines.
01:01As of now, the U.S. ships in Subic, like the U.S.N. Millinocket, are under regular maintenance.
01:07Officials were talked to by Secretary Austin earlier and it's expected that there will be more U.S. warships in the West Philippine Sea.
01:15One of the conditions for giving $500 million of foreign military funding for the AFP Modernization Program
01:23is the purchase of military equipment that is interoperable or AKMA in U.S. military operations.
