00:00I'm Jodie, by the way. Nice to meet you.
00:02I love your accent, Jodie.
00:03Can I just say I love your glasses?
00:05They're very cool.
00:06My favourite colour, actually.
00:07See, I can see why you're all in the band now.
00:09I'm getting the charm of it.
00:10Coordination!
00:12I'm loving it, I'm loving it.
00:13Right, I want to do that thing that you just said earlier,
00:15where we go round and you say your name and introduce yourselves,
00:18tell us a bit about yourself.
00:19I feel like Simon Cowell right now on The X Factor.
00:21Hello, my name is Ollie, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Sunderland.
00:25I'm Dexter, I'm 22 and I'm from London.
00:28I'm James, I'm 23 and I'm from Huddersfield.
00:31Hiya, I'm Blaze, I'm 19 and I'm from London.
00:34I'm Rhys, I'm 20 and I'm from Wiltshire.
00:37And together we are...
00:38D-Rioters!
00:41I felt like that was just had to happen.
00:43Listen, this has been such a wild morning.
00:45I can't imagine how it's been for you guys.
00:47I mean, you've been thrown into this experience,
00:49people are now watching the experience back.
00:52It's a bit mad, I think, yeah.
00:54I think seeing it on the big screen definitely changed my perspective a little bit.
00:57I was like, wow, what is that?
00:59It's definitely wild to have our journey being documented
01:03and watching it back, it's so surreal.
01:06It's like replaying memories in your head.
01:08It's really strange, but it's super cool.
01:10Today's been a day that I think we've all been counting down the days for.
01:13For sure.
01:14It's feeling very surreal.
01:16We're feeling incredibly grateful and incredibly happy to be here
01:19because it's just like, it's what we've been waiting for.
01:22We're so excited for this.
01:24Is it starting to feel real now as well?
01:27A little bit.
01:28It's got a little bit more real.
01:30I think there's still a bit of a dream state going on
01:33and we're a bit of an out-of-body experience.
01:35A little bit unreal, actually, I would say.
01:37I'd say unreal is a good word.
01:39It's a good word, James.
01:40Well done, man.
01:41So what's this whole process been like?
01:43Because obviously you've auditioned for this band,
01:45you've auditioned for this show,
01:47and then the next minute you're on a flight to Korea.
01:49The training was intense, right?
01:52I mean, have you reflected on it yet?
01:54Have you had time to think about it?
01:56Yeah.
01:57The training was intense, but I have to say,
01:59I think all throughout the process we've always had a good time
02:01and had a lot of fun.
02:03And being there with these five, we're just always,
02:06no matter what we're doing, we're always having a good time,
02:08always smiling.
02:09I don't think there was a day that one of these lot didn't make me laugh.
02:12It was constant, constant laugh, and it was hilarious.
02:16But of course within that we worked hard
02:19and we put in a lot of work because we wanted to get a lot out.
02:22So that's why it may seem intense.
02:24So what would you say to people that don't really know about K-pop?
02:27What would you say to them in terms of tuning into this?
02:30I would say you've just got to see how many people love it already.
02:35Everyone loves it.
02:36And it's on a rise still.
02:38Pardon the pun.
02:42But yeah, it's huge.
02:44It's absolutely massive and it's reaching every scale.
02:47It's breaking all the records.
02:49And this is a nice little fusion between Britain and SM Entertainment in Korea.
02:54So if that takes your fancy, then tune in.
02:58And the most important question,
02:59are we looking at the next big boy band here?
03:02Fingers crossed.
03:03Fingers crossed.
03:04I think that's for you guys to decide.
03:06We're going to try.
03:07We're going to try.
03:08We're going to do our best.
03:09Obviously you were over there learning the ways of K-pop,
03:11but is that what you're wanting to do sound-wise?
03:14Can you tell me what the sound is going to be?
03:17It's going to be a sound that we all love,
03:19and we're going to bring that to, hopefully, fans' ears,
03:24and they're going to love it too.
03:26Something we're still working on and we're figuring out,
03:29because finding us as a band, really.
03:31We all have very individual styles and likes, dislikes,
03:35when it comes to music even.
03:37So I think it's great because we've got so many different genres.
03:41We've got K-pop as well as a British boy band.
03:44It's amazing.
03:45We've got so many different things which are going to influence us.
03:47So we'll see, and it's going to be good.
03:50We're trying stuff out.
03:51We're not afraid to maybe try out the wrong thing,
03:54because that's what might lead to the right thing.
03:57Yeah.
03:58Although you went over and learned the K-pop training,
04:00it's not necessarily that that's going to be your sound.
04:02But how grateful are you to have went through that training?
04:05Because I don't think there's anything as intense as that here.
04:09We're so grateful.
04:11It's such an amazing experience.
04:13We are five lucky guys to have gotten this opportunity.
04:16Constantly pinching yourself every day.
04:19Yeah, definitely.
04:20What's it been like meeting fans?
04:22Because I know you were meeting some out there already.
04:24How's that experience?
04:25Why are you getting nervous?
04:27It feels strange.
04:29It doesn't feel like real life.
04:30It's crazy.
04:32We bumped into a few after we saw the amazing SM Town in Tokyo Dome,
04:37which just blew our minds, by the way.
04:39It was a very long concert, and it was very, very good.
04:43It was everything in one.
04:45It really set the standard, I think.
04:48Definitely.
04:49We could see what the K-pop standard is
04:51and really what we need to try to achieve.
04:53And we didn't fully know that until after the first assessment.
04:56But I think we do now, and we're going to give it a good shot.
05:00One thing I love to see is the welfare in this,
05:03because obviously in shows in the past, that's been missing.
05:06So how important was it having that check-in?
05:08Because what you were going through, I would have cried and walked out.
05:11I think our welfare team was just so incredible,
05:14and we're so very thankful.
05:16But like we said, we just had such a great time out there.
05:20It was such an amazing experience, honestly.
05:23We were very well looked after.
05:26The welfare team came not just from our actual welfare team,
05:29but it came from many other places as well,
05:31from the production crew to SM Entertainment
05:34to our actual management,
05:36and even just to the people you walk past in the street in Korea in Seoul.
05:39They brighten my day.
05:41I think there was one instance, for example,
05:43where me and Blaze were walking down the street,
05:45and a young lady came up to us and said,
05:47can I just say you're perfect?
05:49Oh, this was so cute.
05:51And she's not wrong.
05:53Aww!
05:55You stop it now. That's it.
05:59They're genuinely so lovely.
06:01The nicest thing someone's ever said to me in my life.
06:04I was shocked for a solid week.
06:07He was all giddy.
06:09I'm loving this bond.
06:11You feel like you've just become brothers in a way.
06:13We have to.
06:15We're like a family now.
06:17Like a unit.
06:19Have you figured out who the rebel is,
06:21who the Gary Barlow is?
06:23Who the Robbie is?
06:25That's a good question.
06:27Who's who's who?
06:29I think that's for everyone else to decide.
06:31I'm excited to see what people think.
06:33We're all very individual people.
06:35We all have our own characters.
06:37So then, last question, biggest question.
06:39What's next? What can we expect?
06:41What would you say to anyone that might want to tune in?
06:43Any potential fans?
06:45Dear Alove, I can't explain.
06:47We would love you to tune in,
06:49because our show's pretty decent,
06:51and our songs are good too.
06:53We're just five boys who love to have fun,
06:56and we're on this ride,
06:58so join us!
07:00If that's the case, then join us.
07:03Such eloquent speech.
07:05Eloquently spoken.
07:07Beautiful speech.
07:09Hiya.
07:11Mum.
07:13OK, well, just don't forget about me
07:15when you make it big time.
07:17Thank you so much, boys. Lovely to meet you all.
07:19Thank you.
