How can victims of domestic abuse seek help?

00:00for family and friends or anyone,
00:02if you're concerned about somebody you know,
00:04about a loved one, how do you best support them?
00:07What do you do?
00:08And that can be really challenging.
00:10And often it's family and friends
00:12who are the person that somebody might go to first
00:15and might talk to.
00:17We want to raise awareness with health professionals.
00:19All are, you know, often it might be a GP somebody talks to.
00:24And we want to raise awareness as well with men out there.
00:28There's some really good men.
00:29There's many men.
00:30We work with our Right Turn program at Wynn.
00:33Works with men who might just be really worried
00:35about their behavior.
00:36There's lots of pressures.
00:38We want to provide a really unjudgmental service,
00:40but we want men to get in touch if they feel,
00:43you know what, I might be behaving in a way
00:46that isn't good for my family, isn't good for my partner,
00:49and certainly is not good for my children,
00:52but I don't know how to stop it.
00:53We can provide that support, advice, guidance, judgment,
00:57and sort of really look at behavior change.
