00:00Long ago, there lived a boy named Sammy. He was a real gem. He was a brilliant student. He was also a member of his school football team and participated in all the activities of his school.
00:23Above all, he was an obedient boy and very sincere about his work. He had also a very good report with all his classmates and was always cooperative and helpful.
00:39His teachers and friends were all praised for him. There was another boy named Timmy in the class. He was a total contrast to Sammy. He willed away his time in useless pursuits.
00:57He bullied his fellow and was always bent on some mischief. He hated studies and even bunked his classes. He had become a nuisance for all, his parents, teachers, and classmates. Above everything, he was jealous.
01:20The kind of applause that Sammy got from his teachers and friends was too much for him to bear. So he always looked for some opportunity to hurt him. But, howsoever much he tried, he was never successful in his evil intentions.
01:39No matter what he did, Sammy continued to flourish. His performance went up in every way. He excelled in both studies and sports and got many rewards.
01:55His parents were mighty pleased with their worthy son and decided to give him a reward. On Sammy's birthday, they gave him a lovely pen. It had a beautiful design on its body and was extremely smooth in writing.
02:14Sammy was really delighted to have that pen and he took it to school. Everyone praised his marvelous pen. Everyone asked, from where did you get this beautiful pen, Sammy?
02:30My parents gave it to me as a birthday gift, replied Sammy proudly. Timmy also saw the gift and felt very jealous. My parents never give me even a small gift, he thought. This thought made him even more spiteful of Sammy.
02:53During lunch break, when all the students had gone for lunch, Timmy sneaked into the classroom to steal the pen. He opened the bag and without thinking about the consequence, even for a moment, took out the pen from Sammy's pencil box.
03:10After the break, Sammy came back to the classroom. He opened his bag to take out his things, but his face went pale when he opened the pencil box. His cherished gift, the fabulous pen, was not in the box. He rummaged in the bag and looked elsewhere, but the pen was nowhere.
03:40Sammy started crying bitterly. All the students and the teachers were surprised.
03:48What happened, Sam? Why are you crying? asked the teacher.
03:54Meh, said Sammy, sobbing. I have lost my pen. It is so special for me. It is a gift from my parents.
04:04The teacher felt really sorry for Sammy.
04:09Are you sure it was in your bag? she asked.
04:13Of course, ma'am. I used it before lunch break and put it in my bag, replied Sammy confidently.
04:21This aroused the teacher's suspicion.
04:25Then how can it disappear from the bag? she said.
04:29Then she ordered that bags of all the students be searched.
04:34During the search, the pen was found in Timmy's bag.
04:39The teacher was furious. She called Timmy to explain his conduct.
04:45Timmy, how did the pen come into your bag? Will you explain? she thundered.
04:52Timmy was in tears. He had never thought even in the wildest of his dreams that he would be humiliated in such a way.
05:02Timmy's piteous condition was too much for Sammy to bear. He pleaded with the teacher to forgive Timmy.
05:11After much persuasion, she agreed to forgive him, but with a warning.
05:17The goodness and compassionate behavior of Sammy brought a change of heart in Timmy.
05:23How mean and innoble I have been, he repented.
05:28He apologized profusely to the teacher and Sammy and promised to mend his ways and follow a virtuous path.
05:37Moral, we should treat even those with ill will towards us with love.
05:43One day this may bring a change in their heart.
