00:00Behind me is a $220,000 TV that puts Samsung's micro-LED the wall to shame.
00:06It's the N1 from Seaseed and it is a micro-LED TV but it's also a lot more.
00:11We're here checking out this mind-boggling TV at CES 2024 for the first time.
00:16Let's go take a closer look.
00:18If you've been waiting for a 137-inch folding 4K micro-LED TV, you're in luck.
00:23Australian brand Seaseed has just the product for you and it costs a mere $220,000.
00:31It's the company's newest model called the Seaseed N1 TV and here's the selling point.
00:35It folds in like an accordion so the idea is that you can fold it away,
00:39basically leave it stowed when it's not in use.
00:42If you have a beautiful home with magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows
00:45that you don't want obstructed on a daily basis,
00:48this would be the type of TV that offers you a there-when-you-want-it,
00:51gone-when-you-don't experience.
00:53It's because of micro-LED's modular nature that the N1 can fold up on itself,
00:58breaking apart at the seams of two modules,
01:00only to come back together the next time you want to turn the TV on.
01:04Yet what's cool is that you can't really see the seams or gaps when it's unfolded.
01:08Seaseed likes to talk about the set's adaptive gap calibration technology
01:12that can recognize where those splits are
01:14and correct the picture in a way that makes them practically invisible.
01:18We watched it fold in and out a few times,
01:20though we didn't get to see what it actually looks like folding downwards.
01:24Seaseed just had a prototype of the fully stowed design next to the operational TV.
01:29We also didn't get to see it rotate,
01:31but it can turn between 180 degrees so you can find the optimal viewing space in your mansion.
01:37This Seaseed TV can be purchased.
01:39It's made to order and takes about six months to get to your home.
01:42Now I know the price sounds ridiculous,
01:44but Seaseed asked me to think about it in the context of the premium market.
01:48$220,000 is how much some luxury cars cost,
01:52and the rich often spend a lot more than that renovating their homes.
01:56I mean, think about LG's rollable OLED TV that costs $100,000 and that's only 65 inches.
02:02You're getting 137 inches of micro LED for about double the cost.
02:07But I am dying to know what you think about the Seaseed N1 after seeing it in this video.
