00:00Manchester United wide man Ahmad Diallo was the star of the show as Eric Tenhag's side
00:04recorded a 3-2 pre-season victory over Real Betis in the Snapdragon Stadium for their
00:09first win of their US Tour.
00:11Diallo scored himself after winning Marcus Rashford's penalty, and Casemiro's first-time
00:16effort gave United the win with a dominant first-half performance.
00:20But while Diallo commanded most attention in San Diego, United manager Tenhag was left
00:25with more injury headaches with the news that Lenny Yara will miss three months with a foot
00:28injury and Rasmus Hodglin six weeks with a hamstring strain.
00:33And forwards Antony and Rashford came off in the second half, with Antony visibly frustrated.
00:39Yara out for three months and Hodglin six weeks.

00:44One day ago, Diallo shines as chief creator.
00:48On Tuesday Diallo spoke of his desire to remain with United for life.
00:53He also said he met fellow Ivorian Yata Touré on holiday in the Maldives, where the former
00:57Barcelona and Manchester City star offered some advice for the season that lies ahead.
01:03There was certainly a purpose about Diallo at the Snapdragon Stadium.
01:07The 22-year-old was clean though twice but on the first occasion opted to nudge the ball
01:11onto Jadon Sancho, who was offside, while Scott McTominay burst onto the loose ball
01:15on the second occasion, only to go down under the tackle that followed and not be rewarded
01:19with a free kick.
01:21It was Diallo's purposeful burst almost immediately after Iker Lozada had prodded
01:25Batiste in front that did bring the penalty that allowed Rashford to level.
01:30Diallo was clearly full of confidence and his goal showed it as Harry Amas' left-wing
01:34cross bounced perfectly for the powerful drive into the bottom corner that followed.
01:39Diallo had a couple of forceful runs in the second half before he was replaced, with a
01:43few others, after an hour.
01:46Manager Eric Tan had challenged Diallo at the start of this trip, declaring this has
01:49to be his year.
01:52Diallo seems to agree.
01:54He was dynamite, said United goalkeeper Tom Heaton about Diallo.
01:58Since I have been here his ability has been incredible.
02:02Now you see more confidence and more belief and he is getting more game time, then you
02:06can see his game coming together.
02:08New Rashford injury worry.
02:11Under the circumstances, Ten Hag could do without suffering any more injuries before
02:15the season starts and United did not seem impressed at what they perceived was a soft
02:19refereeing performance from Alexis Da Silva, an MLS regular.
02:24Rashford was on the wrong end of a couple of tough challenges.
02:27He needed treatment after the second, when Da Silva appeared not to notice the England
02:31forward getting caught on the ankle inside the box and eventually went off.
02:36Rashford was not moving freely but it was not clear whether the substitution was pre-planned
02:40as, within a couple of minutes, United made half a dozen.
02:45Antony only lasted 23 minutes of the second half before he was forced off.
02:50The Brazilian indicated to reporters afterwards he had hurt his hand.
02:54It was a special night for Heaton.
02:57The 38-year-old has not played a competitive game since February 2023 and told BBC Sport
03:02last week of his hope he would get more opportunities this season.
03:06Although he admitted responsibility for Real Betis' opening goal, he still enjoyed playing
03:11in front of a crowd of over 20,000.
03:14Yes is the honest answer, he said, when asked if it felt good to play.
03:18It was fantastic to be out there.
03:21The feeling you get when you play is incredible.
03:24I love it.
03:26Other than bounce, practice, games it has been a while since I had a proper 90 minutes.
03:31It felt quick at times but I built into the game.
