00:00Hey guys, really quick video for our crime and emergency services in Japan playlist.
00:05We call these things honesty tests, but really they're more like a trust, example of trust
00:10in Japan.
00:11So this is a car park out in the countryside, 500 yen for a car, 2000 for a minibus, so
00:20like a van, and 300 for a bike, so that's $5, $20, and $3.
00:28And they have a big sign there and it says, pay in the box, right?
00:32The honesty box, basically, and you come around the corner here, and on the corner of the
00:39building is the box that you put your money in, and of course we did, and then while we're
00:44in the car doing some other things, getting ready to go for our little adventure, everybody
00:49else that we saw leaving, they were paying as they were leaving, stopped and put the
00:53money in the box, so it's just the way it is in Japan.
00:57Nobody would think of driving off, most people, no doubt there'd be the occasional a-hole,
01:03but the most of them pay the money.
