00:00But listen, I think I am, am I getting a call?
00:08Jamie?
00:08I'm getting a call right now.
00:09Yes, it sounds like it's the future president
00:12of the United States, Kamala Harris.
00:16Hello, Madam Vice President.
00:18Hi, Jamie, and everyone, everyone.
00:21Hello, hello, hello.
00:24Jamie, I just, in front of all the friends,
00:25I wanna thank you for all that you have been doing,
00:28your leadership at the Democratic National Committee,
00:31the DNC, has been extraordinary,
00:33and I know how hard you work.
00:35So, Jamie, thank you for everything that you are doing,
00:38and to everyone on the call,
00:40thank you for your hard work
00:42and all you have been doing over these last
00:45many, many, many months.
00:46And I know that we are excited about the future,
00:50but we also know that we got a lot of work to get there,
00:53and we have a lot of work to do.
00:54It's good work, we like hard work,
00:57and I just wanna thank everyone for joining this call.
01:01Listen, I think we all approach our campaign
01:04with the same spirit,
01:05including that this is truly a people-powered campaign,
01:10and I would not be on this call right now and with you all
01:14were it not for your support and your trust,
01:17for which I am deeply grateful.
01:19I am honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee
01:22for President of the United States,
01:25and I will tell you the tireless work of our delegates,
01:29our state leaders and staff has been pivotal
01:32in making this moment possible,
01:35and your dedication cannot be overstated,
01:38your dedication to our country.
01:40You know, I know we all feel this way so strongly.
01:43We love our country, we believe in the promise of America,
01:47and that's what this campaign is about.
01:50So, of course, I will officially accept
01:53your nomination next week
01:55once the virtual voting period is closed,
01:58but already I'm happy to know
01:59that we have enough delegates to secure the nomination.
02:03And later this month, we will gather in Chicago,
02:07united as one party,
02:09where we're gonna have an opportunity
02:11to celebrate this historic moment together.
02:14And again, this campaign is about all of us coming together,
02:18people coming together from every walk of life,
02:21every lived experience,
02:23and being fueled by our love of country,
02:25knowing that we are prepared to fight
02:27for the best of who we are.
02:30We believe in the promise of America,
02:32promise of freedom, opportunity and justice,
02:34not just for some, but for all.
02:37And ultimately in this election,
02:39you all have heard me say many times,
02:41we each face the question,
02:44what kind of country do we want to live in?
02:47Do we want to live in a country of freedom,
02:49compassion and rule of law,
02:52or a country of chaos, fear and hate?
02:55And the beauty of our democracy is we each,
02:59every one of us has the power to answer that question.
03:03And that is why I say,
03:05and know the power is with the people.
03:07So here's the bottom line,
03:09I say to all the friends on the call,
03:11we are going to win this election
03:15and it is gonna take all of us,
03:18whether it is making calls,
03:19connecting with our communities,
03:21engaging online or even talking with people,
03:25where we go every day,
03:26whether it be to the grocery store, our church,
03:29we are gonna talk with people about the fact
03:32that we are all in this together and we stand together.
03:36And so let's let folks know
03:37that our campaign is about the future
03:40and it's about an expansion of rights and freedoms
03:42and for the opportunity of everyone
03:45to not just get by, but to get ahead.
03:48So November 5th is 95 days away
03:53and North Carolina for everyone there,
03:56you're kicking us off with absentee ballots
03:59that are being sent in just 35 days.
04:02So we are in this everyone, we are in this,
04:06we are on the road and it's not gonna be easy,
04:11but we're gonna get this done.
04:13And as your future president,
04:16I know we are up to this fight.
04:19And when we fight, everyone will say in unison, we win.
04:24So thank you everyone, please take care
04:26and I can't wait to see you in Chicago.
