00:00A massive mobilisation packed the streets of Caracas to show the world that the Venezuelan
00:05people took a strong stance in defence of peace and the victory of President Nicolás
00:09Maduro.
00:10Our correspondent Clarice Quesada has more details.
00:14The Venezuelan people took to the streets this Saturday afternoon, not with violence
00:19or hostility, but with peace, music and slogans to defend the victory of elected President
00:26Nicolás Maduro Moros, who won in the elections last Sunday.
00:30We are going to the streets to defend our homeland, our sovereignty, our independence
00:36and back Nicolás Maduro.
00:38And Yankees can't forget because we are defending our sovereignty, long live the homeland, long
00:44live Venezuela, long live Nicolás Maduro.
00:46The march at Indies also demanded justice after the terrorist actions and violence outbreaks
00:52in the nation prompted by the radical extremist right-wing groups, which resulted in over
00:591,000 detentions.
01:01The rioters provoked terror under the excuse of contesting the electoral results of the
01:07July 28th polls.
01:08Also, the intellectual authors of these actions must face the law according to Venezuelan
01:15people.
01:16The Venezuelan justice is going to act to capture all of the intellectual authors calling
01:21to the violence, where have been death, when it's been destroyed medical facilities, when
01:26schools has been destroyed.
01:27They're going to pay, Maria Corina, you're going to pay.
01:30You're going to pay for every crime that you committed.
01:33And you're always shielding under the gringos, but that's over.
01:37That's your turn.
01:38Miss Maria Corina, stop the violence.
01:41Your children are in the United States and you're putting issues and crisis and crime
01:47to the young people of our homeland.
01:49You can search for your kids and pull it in the front, your sons in the United States.
01:55This crowd is also outraged by the interference of the United States, the European Union,
02:01international organizations, and an insignificant group of Latin American countries and demands
02:08respect for them.
02:10They reject any interference in the country.
02:13I am against of those countries that are not recognizing our sovereignty, our will, and
02:19they're recognizing in a way very responsible the results that are presented by Maria Corina
02:26Machado and Mundo González.
02:29Throughout this week, different social forces in the country have taken to the streets to
02:33reaffirm solid support for President Nicolás Maduro Moros and to warn the world that they
02:40are willing to enforce their decision at the ballot box and to reject the attempted coup
02:46by the ultra-right extremists.
