RNLI crews search for missing person between Blackpool piers
Lifeboat crews carried out an 'extensive' search for a missing person who was though to have gone in the sea, between North and Central Piers in Blackpool.
Due to the area to be searched, further assistance was requested and provided by HM Coastguard Rescue 936 and Lytham At Anne’s RNLI Shannon all-weather boat.
The person was later traced on land by community partners and conveyed to hospital for treatment.
