00:00I do want to go back to that assassination attempt. Since then, there
00:04have been multiple investigations into how this happened. What are some of the
00:09biggest questions you still have less than three weeks later? Yeah, so I sit on
00:13the House Homeland Security Committee and we are conducting a parallel
00:18investigation with House Oversight and obviously the newly formed task force
00:22that was put together by Speaker Johnson. And I think that the questions, there
00:26are so many questions, but I think some of the most important are looking at
00:32the plans that were laid out for that rally in Pennsylvania. Let's look at
00:37the preplan operation. Let's look at the plan of attack for the day. Were the
00:42resources that were requested? Were they all provided? Were the resources that
00:46were on site? Were they trained for that situation? Were they members of the
00:54Secret Service who had previous training at large-scale events? Was
01:00the communication with the local agencies, the state and local agencies?
01:05What was their communication? What was the communication breakdown? I mean, we
01:09could rewind back. I mean, as someone, again, who has spent a lifetime in the
01:14first responder world, I mean, we could rewind back to September 11, 2001, when
01:19we experienced some of the worst communication breakdown probably in our
01:24history. And why? Because agencies weren't able to communicate with one
01:28another on scene and were unable to provide critical information that
01:33probably would have saved lives on that morning. And I think that, again, you ask
01:39your question, are we better off today than we were at that last incident? And
01:43you know, we need to make sure that the Secret Service are coordinating with
01:49local agencies. And we've all seen it. It's one of those things, the Secret
01:53Service comes in, or a bigger law enforcement agency, you know, I was a
01:56member of the NYPD, you know, you have, you're one of the biggest forces, you
02:00have the, you know, you have the newest toys and resources. And when you come up
02:06and when you come in and show, I mean, just last week for the Benjamin Netanyahu
02:10speech, there were 225 uniformed NYPD cops that came to Washington, DC to help
02:17the Capitol Police. And when they show up, they are a real presence. And but
02:22that doesn't mean that there shouldn't be coordination and communication with
02:25all agencies on the ground. So that's a conversation we need to have, we need to
02:29make sure that none of the decisions made on that, that day, and leading up
02:34to that day were political. What were their resources that weren't provided to
02:39that, to that rally because of who the rally was for? You know, we asked the
02:45questions, you know, why wasn't RFK Jr. provided the Secret Service protection
02:52that his team requested months and months ago. So there are a lot of
02:56questions that need that need to be answered. As someone who spent a career
03:00in law enforcement, I am not ready to start Monday morning quarterbacking it
03:04and pointing fingers until I have all the facts in front of me to I read till
03:08I read the transcripts till I hear the radio transmissions till I have the
03:12opportunity to interview and interrogate the individuals who need to be held
03:16accountable. And then I will utilize my 16 years of investigative experience to
03:22make an informed decision on how we move forward.
