01:14Salvinio, welcome to Manchester City it's of course a place you know from your time at Girona
01:26you came here training a few years ago but how does it now feel to be a Manchester City player?
01:44I'm really happy and honoured to be here as you said I was here with Girona before but now I'm here
02:14I've signed for Manchester City I'm so happy I can't wait to put the shirt on
02:18and get on the pitch and show you what I can do
02:23we can't wait for you to put the Manchester City shirt on as well um the next question is have you
02:28imagined what it would be like to play in this team and what role do you think you'll you'll play in it?
02:44I wake up in the morning thinking about this I go to bed at night thinking about
03:14this I'm really looking forward to training with the squad next week I can see myself a part of
03:20this team part of this group and I'll do everything possible I'll play my best football my best game
03:24for Manchester City you can already see you are going to be a fan's favourite down here at the
03:32Etihad tell us have you um set yourself any personal goals this season whether that be
03:41appearances, assists, goals anything like that?
04:11No I haven't thought about it yet what I want is to work really hard day to get today together with
04:22the coaching team together with my teammates so I can develop uh in preparation for the games at
04:28the weekend I'm really excited about this signing by the way he's speaking absolutely brilliantly
04:33you've qualified for the Champions League last season with Girona and now you're here in Manchester
04:37how excited are you to play in that competition with Manchester City?
05:07I was delighted to qualify for the Champions League with Girona now the focus is entirely on
05:21Manchester City it's a new page in history I'm delighted and honoured to be playing in the
05:27Champions League for this club. Fantastic
05:34and um Savino you uh completed more dribbles last season in La Liga than any other player did
05:43are you quite excited about getting out there in the Etihad Stadium behind you and of course at
05:47these away grounds and showcasing that talent showcasing that ability in front of the uh the
05:53City fans?
06:23As I said in my previous reply I'm really happy to be here at Manchester City and I'm really
06:51looking forward to showcasing my skills here at the Etihad I will do my absolute best on the pitch
06:57that's really important and I want to continue and drive on from what I achieved at Girona last
07:02season. Yeah we're very very happy to have you at Manchester City as well let's talk about your
07:11playing style then apart from your dribbling what can we expect or what can fans expect to see
07:16from you in a Manchester City shirt?
07:46What you can expect from me is a lot of joy on the pitch there'll be dribbling there'll be goals
08:06there'll be assists as I said before I'm going to work very hard during the week so at the weekend
08:10I can put the work on the pitch score goals assists dribbles and the important thing is
08:16being happy and joyful on that pitch.
08:25We have a question from one of the fans Callum who's from Charlton which is a lovely little
08:30suburb of Manchester you might get to know it in your time here he says Pep is of course very fond
08:36wide players attacking wide players how much do you think you can improve playing under
08:41the leadership of a manager like Pep Guardiola?
09:05I've been at Manchester City since I was little so I've seen all the players evolve with Pep
09:11and that's also why I came to Manchester City because I want to learn I want to evolve as a player
09:20as a person because all the players I've seen playing under him have evolved so I'm going to
09:29give my best on a daily basis with him to learn and evolve to get to the games and give my best.
09:36I've been watching Manchester City since I was a kid and I've seen all the players have developed
09:47and improved under Pep Guardiola that's why I came here I'm looking to learn I'm looking to
09:52develop both as a player and a person because all the players that have been here with Pep
09:57have developed improved I will as I said before give my all day to day and give my everything
10:04on the pitch. Finally before you get a chance to meet all of our fans you've taken the number 26
10:13shirt which is an iconic number for the last player who had it was Riyad Mahrez he had an
10:17amazing Manchester City career do you hope to have a similar sort of career path to him and
10:21is there any similarities between you and Riyad?
10:34Do you hope to have a career as successful as Mahrez and do you see any similarities between your style of play and Mahrez's?
10:42Yes, it's a reference for me since I was a kid when I started watching Manchester City he was already here
10:49under Guardiola's hand and I saw his evolution with Pep and I do see a similarity but Mahrez has made his
11:00history, Mahrez is Mahrez, Savinho is Savinho and I want to make my own and I also chose the number
11:08a little bit because of him so I hope to continue working on a daily basis to make my own history like he did.
11:18Mahrez has been a role model for me ever since I started watching City as a child and I've been
11:33watching I was watching him at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola and I see how much he evolved
11:38as a player with Pep and yes there are similarities to our games and he's written his story he's made
11:45his history here at City but Mahrez is Mahrez, Savinho is Savinho and it's now time to write my
11:51story here I chose the number 26 shirt because of Mahrez now it's time for me to dedicate myself
11:58and write my story make my history here. Great answer, wow.
12:03I'm sure you can all agree this is a young guy that speaks so so well you can see the passion
12:16that he's got to be a Manchester City player I think we're going to have a lot of fun watching
12:21him hopefully over the number of years that he's going to be wearing that shirt for Manchester City
12:26he's going to be coming down signing a few autographs we've got him for about 15 minutes
12:31but I want to welcome out first as well to join Savinho signing some stuff
