00:00Not the Shrinking Cap, Grandpa!
00:06Catch me if you can!
00:10Grandpa!
00:18No! Be careful!
00:25Grandpa, stop!
00:30Wait!
00:38Grandpa in my pocket!
00:43It was the school holidays.
00:46Usually, the school holidays are lots of fun.
00:50But I wasn't having much fun this time round.
00:53Stop scratching, Jason.
00:55Because I was covered in chicken pox spots.
00:58Just need my sticky stars.
01:01I'm so fed up, Grandpa.
01:04Poor Jason, Wolfie. Not only has he got chicken pox,
01:07but he's missing out on a special trip to the lighthouse.
01:10Yes, today I was missing out on a visit to...
01:14Mr. Mentor's Marvelicious Inventing Club!
01:19Mr. Mentor, the inventor of the inventing club,
01:21lives in the lighthouse in Sunny Sands.
01:24He's always coming up with really crazy inventions.
01:28Like this. The grassy bubble jumper.
01:32And this. The automatic hair-o-static.
01:36Today, he'd invited some children to his inventing club
01:40so that they could come up with some inventions of their own.
01:46I'm so fed up.
01:49I'd even decided what things I was going to use for my invention.
01:53Really? Such as?
01:56Well, there's an old tricycle wheel at the lighthouse.
02:00And there's a curly woolly coat hanger.
02:02And there's heaps of coloured flower pots.
02:04Oh, I could have made something brilliant out of all that.
02:08Ready to invent something marvellous?
02:10Yes, I've got a great idea.
02:12That'll be Shannae's mum. I'll go and say hello.
02:15Come on, Jemima.
02:16See you later. And no scratching.
02:21I want to go to Mr. Mentor's marvellous inventing club too.
02:25I've got a feeling that Jemima is going to need some help.
02:29Not the shrinking cap, Grandpa.
02:33You know what happens when Grandpa puts on his magic shrinking cap?
02:37He can climb up things.
02:39He can jump on things.
02:41And off things.
02:43He can get into my toy car and make it go.
02:45He can chirp around the room in my Sonny Sands train.
02:48But if he wants to go to the lighthouse, he has to fly.
02:57This is my idea. I'd like to make a guessing machine for Jason.
03:00A guessing machine? Oh, that's a fabidiculous idea.
03:03Let's see what we've got in here.
03:06Luckily, Jemima, Shannae and Mr. Mentor were so busy looking through his big box of junk
03:11that they didn't see Grandpa fly in through the window.
03:15Or land on the floor.
03:17Or jump out.
03:21Climb onto a table.
03:26And hide behind Mr. Mentor's ping-a-ding-a-dong.
03:30Just in time too.
03:32Because who can suddenly walk in, but...
03:36Lloyd!
03:38Don't start without me.
03:39Lloyd! What a spectopular surprise.
03:42I'm so glad you're here.
03:44You can help us invent a guessing machine for Jason.
03:46Nah, guessing machines are boring.
03:48I want to invent a machine that will make you go...
03:52Well, it's already made me go...
03:54And you haven't even invented it yet.
03:56Grandpa could tell that Floyd was going to be big trouble.
04:00We'll work in pairs.
04:02You two stay here and me and Mr. Mentor over there.
04:05I've got some cardboard and some springs and...
04:07Some odd socks.
04:09They were under my bed.
04:11Just do what I say, Mr. Mentor,
04:13because I've got a brillioso idea.
04:15Come on!
04:17And Grandpa was going to have to have a brillioso plan.
04:20Because soon, Floyd's brillioso idea looked like this.
04:26I'm going to call my invention the Odd Sock Shock Monster.
04:31Well, we've got the socks.
04:33Now it's time to do the shocks.
04:35That's the tricky bit.
04:37I want his trunk to swing up and go...
04:41And his eyes to pop out and go...
04:44And his tongue to shoot out and go...
04:48Please don't keep doing that, Floyd.
04:50It's very hard to invent when you keep making me jump.
04:53Mr. Mentor was so busy helping Floyd
04:56that he had no time to help Jemima and Shani.
04:59What if we put some little objects in here,
05:02then spin a wheel,
05:03and one of them falls into some kind of pot thing at the bottom.
05:07OK, and then you put your hands in the machine
05:11and try to guess what it is just by feeling it.
05:14We could call it the whizzy-wee touchy-feely.
05:17It's a great idea,
05:19but I haven't got a clue how to invent it.
05:22We really need some help.
05:24That's when Grandpa remembered all the things
05:27that I said I wanted to use.
05:29He jumped off the table
05:30and rolled the old tricycle wheel towards Jemima.
05:38How did it do that?
05:40No idea, but it's just what we need for the whizzy-wheely bit.
05:45Grandpa's plan had started to work.
05:48He looked up and saw something else Jemima would need.
05:52So he jumped onto the table
05:54and made for the curly-wheely coat hanger.
05:57He carefully wiggled it off the hook.
06:05Did that curly-wheely coat hanger just fall off all by itself?
06:09It must have done.
06:12Hey, it's the perfect thing to stick the wheel onto.
06:16Now all we need is something to put our objects in.
06:19Grandpa knew the very thing.
06:21He jumped down and headed for a huge tower of plastic flowerpots.
06:26He gave the tower a big push and...
06:30A flowerpot!
06:33This one's just the right size.
06:37Grandpa's plan was definitely working.
06:40It's almost as if these things want to be a part of our invention.
06:44Meanwhile, Mr. Mentor was making fun of Jemima.
06:48Meanwhile, Mr. Mentor was making Floyd cross.
06:54This is hopeless!
06:56It doesn't do anything!
06:58It's supposed to make you go...
07:00I don't do things that make you go...
07:03I'm not that kind of inventor.
07:06While Grandpa thought up another plan,
07:09Floyd went over to the others.
07:11What's that supposed to be?
07:13It looks pathetic.
07:15It's a whizzy-wheely touchy-feely.
07:17It's not finished yet.
07:19It'll never work. Not in a million years.
07:22This is a useless inventing club.
07:25Nothing works.
07:27Now was Grandpa's chance.
07:29He was going to teach bossy Floyd a lesson.
07:32Floyd wanted his odd-sock shock monster to make Mr. Mentor go...
07:37What if the monster made Floyd go...
07:41instead?
07:43So Grandpa crawled up the trunk of the odd-sock shock monster.
07:47Don't do it like that! Do it my way!
07:50Get off, Floyd!
07:52Leave us alone!
07:54You do your own thing.
07:57At that moment, Grandpa started to wiggle the odd-sock shock monster.
08:02And his eyes went boing!
08:04And his tongue shot out!
08:06And Floyd went...
08:08It's horrible!
08:11Make it stop! Make it stop!
08:14I'm not doing your silly inventing club anymore!
08:17So then...
08:19Then the odd-sock shock monster started to laugh.
08:25That's an incredible invention, Mr. Mentor.
08:28Oh, I didn't invent it. It invented itself.
08:31And inventions that invent themselves are always fabidiculous.
08:34Oh, it stopped.
08:36I hope I haven't broken it.
08:38I'll just have a look inside.
08:40Mr. Mentor, now that Floyd's out the way,
08:43please can you help us with our whizzy-wheely touchy-feely?
08:45Please!
08:47Of course, my dear. Whizzy-wheely touchy-feelys are right up my street.
08:51While they all worked on Jemima and Shani's invention,
08:54Grandpa got out of the odd-sock shock monster.
08:57And soon, the whizzy-wheely touchy-feely looked like this!
09:01It's finished! Brillioso!
09:03But we don't know if it works yet. Shouldn't we test it out?
09:06But there was no time to test it out because...
09:09Hey, Mum's here. We've got to go.
09:12Floyd, do you want to lift home?
09:16Let me carry it down the stairs for you.
09:19That is so cool! Can I have a look?
09:24Nice job!
09:26I'm sorry I was so mean, Mr. Mentor.
09:29I had no idea you were such an amazing inventor.
09:32That odd-sock shock monster is spectopular!
09:36Apology absolutely accepted.
09:38I do hope you'll come back to our inventing club next week.
09:41Well, maybe.
09:42Aren't you going to take your odd-sock shock monster home with you, Floyd?
09:46No way!
09:48I mean, no thanks. It can stay here.
09:52Off we go. Down the stairs.
09:55As soon as everyone had left the room,
09:58Grandpa jumped into the plane
10:01and flew out of the window.
10:13Luckily, he arrived back just before Jemima.
10:17Grandpa jumped out of the plane,
10:20whipped off his shrinking cap
10:23and came back to his normal size.
10:26Grandpa, you're back!
10:28Did you have a successful mission?
10:30I certainly did.
10:32And I couldn't have done it without you, though.
10:34But I didn't help at all.
10:36Oh, yes, you did. And any minute now, you'll find out how.
10:39It was still teamwork.
10:40OK, Grandpa. Teamwork!
10:45Here you are, Jason. My marvellous new invention.
10:48Thanks. It's extremely marvellous.
10:50What is it exactly?
10:52It's a whizzy-wheely touchy-feely.
10:54A guessing game.
10:56Yes, Grandpa. You spin the wheel
10:58and that sends an object into the bottom.
11:00Then you stick your hands in there
11:02and try to guess what it is, just by feeling it.
11:04Give it a try, Jason.
11:06The other good thing about this invention
11:08is it stops Jason scratching his head.
11:10That's right, Grandpa.
11:12So it does. It's a work of genius, Jemima.
11:17It has lots of legs.
11:19It's made of plastic.
11:22I know! It's a plastic spider!
11:26I'm so glad you used the old tricycle wheel
11:28and the curly-whirly coat hanger.
11:30And the flowerpot. It's inside.
11:32Right again, Grandpa.
11:34Anyone would think you'd been to Inventing Club, too.
11:37It's really good, Jemima.
11:38I'm sure they help.
