00:00Addie, walk me through the last 48 hours since being crowned Miss Teen USA.
00:07What's going through your mind?
00:08It has been such a whirlwind and honestly just a dream come true.
00:11I've been staying super busy with press interviews and photo shoots, all of the glitz and glam,
00:16but also just enjoying this moment.
00:17I mean, it's not very often that somebody gets to experience something like this.
00:22Speaking of press, Miss Teen USA has been in the news a lot lately, as I'm sure you're
00:26aware of.
00:27What type of positive press do you hope to give the pageant now that the crown is on
00:30your head?
00:31You know, I really want to focus on being a Miss Teen USA who is leaving an impact and
00:35changing people's lives.
00:37It's something that I shared with the judges during my private interview as well as on
00:40stage and I think that's going to be such a big part of my role in this title this year
00:45and I'm ready to get to work with my personal organization, Dance to Empower, as well as
00:49the other charitable alliances that we're partnered with, with the Miss USA organization,
00:53which are Smile Train and Best Buddies.
00:56This was the first time in a long time that Miss Teen USA was on network television, coming
01:01back to the CW.
01:02Tell us what the relevance of Miss Teen USA is like now in 2024.
01:06You know, it's important for Miss Teen USA and Miss USA to be in these roles right now
01:10because so many little girls need people like us to look up to and I'm so excited to use
01:16this title to be a voice for little girls just like me.
01:18I'm from a small town in Mississippi.
01:20I never in a million years would have thought that I'd be capable of winning Miss Teen USA,
01:25so making this dream possible I hope is a message for everyone out there to just never
01:29stop dreaming and to always set goals for your dreams and one day if you work hard enough
01:33you can achieve it.
01:35One last question for you.
01:36Tonight you're going to be getting a new sister queen, a new Miss USA will be crowned.
01:41What advice do you have for the contestants who are sitting backstage right now?
01:44You know what that's like.
01:45Give them a little bit of a positive, uplifting message.
01:48Yes, so I definitely know exactly what it feels like to be back there feeling all of
01:52the nerves, but something that I always tell anyone is just to live in the moment and never
01:56take anything for granted.
01:58This is such a once in a lifetime opportunity, not winning but just competing here.
02:01I mean we've all worked so hard to win in our respective states, so I just know whoever
02:06wins is going to be so deserving and I'm so excited to meet her.
02:09The beautiful Addie Carver, the newly crowned Miss Teen USA.
02:12Congratulations once again.
02:14Thank you so much.
02:15Alright, thanks.
02:17Hey guys, I need a...
