01:45For now, both are empty,
01:47but let's remember to check back later.
01:49Now that I'm in the Warrior's Guild,
01:50it's time to earn my keep.
01:51I've been told to go help Henrietta, the librarian,
01:53with the rats in her cellar.
01:55Not exactly the most legendary of quests,
01:57but we all start somewhere.
01:58Looks like this rat problem is pretty bad.
02:00The further in I go, the bigger they are.
02:02This is a milestone quest,
02:03and you'll notice that with each successful quest
02:05completed, my skills are raising.
02:08No rest for the weary, as my next task
02:10is to deal with a little undead situation
02:12in the Aqua Cemetery.
02:14These skeletons are no match for Bill the Bold.
02:16Further into the crypt,
02:17I find a cavern of falling rocks
02:19and an ancient reliquary.
02:21After touching the reliquary,
02:22a force of skeletons and zombies appear,
02:24trying to destroy the tomb.
02:26This kind of point defense mechanism
02:27is new to Ultima Online.
02:29It's been a tough fight,
02:30and the tomb took a beating,
02:32but Bill the Bold prevailed.
02:34After exiting the tomb,
02:35I meet the ancient spirit where I get my reward,
02:37a sword and a shield worthy of the hero.
02:40As I touch the convergence catalyst,
02:42I have a choice to make
02:43between branching narratives
02:44before entering the wider world,
02:46the path of the warrior,
02:47or the path of the ranger.
02:49I've still got the fire in my heart,
02:50so it's the path of the warrior for me.
02:52But don't worry.
02:53If you're looking for something more,
02:54there will be opportunities later on
02:56to learn animal taming,
02:57play instruments as a bard,
02:58learn the ways of the assassin,

03:17allows you to choose your own adventure,
03:18earning skill for defending resources,
03:20attacking brigands, and more.
03:22Do enough of these daily quests,
03:23and your character will advance
03:24in the main storyline.
03:25Also new is an expanded PvP system
03:28that gets your guild into the action fast.
03:30I've been adventuring for a little while,
03:32and I've collected a ton of interesting loot.
03:34Veterans of Ultima Online
03:35will remember the excitement
03:36of finding named vanquishing
03:37or powerful items back in the day.
03:40This system is back in New Legacy
03:41as item identification reveals
03:42a weapon or armor piece's true worth.
03:45My time in the Warriors Guild
03:46has honed my skills,
03:47and I've been dispatched
03:48to the pride of the navy,
03:49the Courageous,
03:50to fight off these dread pirates.

03:54aboard the Courageous
03:55punctuate major milestones in New Legacy,
03:57and there are these kinds
03:58of newly crafted experiences
03:59for each path you take.
