Comprehensive measures taken to provide education in KP, Balochistan: DG ISPR

00:43First of all, let's talk about the education department.

00:47We all know that education plays a fundamental role in the development of the country.

00:54In view of this fact, the Pakistan Army has taken comprehensive steps

00:59to provide educational resources in the affected areas of KPK and Balochistan.

01:08Various educational institutions have been established in this regard.

01:1494 schools, 12 cadet colleges, 10 technical and vocational institutions,

01:21and approximately 80,000 children are benefiting from these educational institutions.

01:28I will specifically mention two projects.

01:33The first project is the Youth Employment Scheme of the Chief of Army Staff.

01:38Under this scheme, 1,500 local children are provided free education in military colleges.

01:45Under this scheme, 7,46,768 students have been enrolled from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,

01:52more than 94,000 of whom belong to newly joined classes.

01:57Under this scheme, along with education,

02:00the youth will also be given the opportunity to play a role in the development of the society.

02:39For these students of Balochistan, which is our future,

02:44a comprehensive scholarship program has also been started,

02:47in which they are provided with all the facilities and expenses along with education from the Pakistan Army.

02:55So far, more than 8,000 students of Balochistan have benefited from this program.

03:03In addition, 92 schools are being run in Balochistan by the F.C. and Pak Army

03:09to provide better education facilities to children in different areas,

03:16of which 19,000 students are under-educated.

03:20I would also like to tell you that with the cooperation of the Pakistan Army,

03:24253 students of Balochistan have been given scholarships for higher education in various universities of the United Arab Emirates.

03:34Ladies and gentlemen, along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan,

03:38171 schools and 3 cadet colleges have been established by the Pakistan Army in Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir,

03:49in which more than 50,000 students are benefiting.

03:54Similarly, vocational training centers and more than 100 government schools have been upgraded in remote areas of Sindh.
